BlacKkKlansman is a 2018 American biographical black comedy crime film directed by Spike Lee and written by Charlie Wachtel, David Rabinowitz, Kevin Willmott and Lee, based on the 2014 memoir Black Klansman by Ron Stallworth. The film stars John David Washington as Stallworth, along with Adam Driver, Laura Harrier, and Topher Grace. Set in the 1970s in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the plot follows the first African-American detective in the city's police department as he sets out to infiltrate and expose the local Ku Klux Klan chapter.

The Holy Mountain is a 1973 Mexican surreal-fantasy film directed, written, produced, co-scored, co-edited by and starring Alejandro Jodorowsky, who also participated as a set designer and costume designer on the film. It's his best movie, sure, but it's still a total mess and completely overrated. Don't get me started on Tusk.

Hereditary is a 2018 American supernatural horror film written and directed by Ari Aster, in his feature film directorial debut. It stars Toni Collette giving one of the best performances of the decade.

First Reformed is a 2017 American drama film written and directed by Paul Schrader. It stars Ethan Hawke, Amanda Seyfried, and Cedric Kyles, and follows a Protestant minister struggling with his faith while serving as pastor of a dwindling historic church in upstate New York and is also somehow about climate change and it doesn't feel pandering.

Shirkers is a 2018 British-American documentary film by Singapore-born filmmaker Sandi Tan about her experience making of an independent thriller featuring a teenage assassin set in Singapore.

Paddleton is a 2019 American comedy-drama film, directed by Alex Lehmann, from a script by Lehmann and Mark Duplass. The film stars Duplass and Ray Romano on a quest to bring their newly invented sport (Paddleton) to the masses.
