Is spending 10.000 hours to become a specialist the only way? And do specialists surpass generalists in profit and happiness?
Hashem appreciates both sides of the generalist-specialist spectrum. He is a specialist in his “how” which is research. However, he is more of a generalist when it comes to the “what” of research. That can be quite a diverse range including finding & researching emails, people, ideas, articles, opportunities, and data. The fields he’s interested in are numerous including education, psychology, career development, and languages. He sees himself as a hybrid, between a generalist and a specialist.
Hashem ElAssad is a University of Toronto psychology graduate with Honors. Using his research and analytical skills. Research for Hashem is an obsession, seeking after a very specific or hard-to-find item, such as concepts or theories, is a skill that he not only enjoys but finds difficult to stop once started. So many people in India who are not aware of being a Multipotentialite. Amazing and unique talents are wasted when we only focus on being a specialist. We also spoke about the Avadhanam, a literary performance popular from the very ancient days in India. Avadhānaṃ originated as a Sanskrit literary process and is revived by poets in Telugu and Kannada in modern times. It involves the partial improvisation of poems using specific themes, meters, forms, or words.
The avadhāni is a multipotentialite!?

Born in New York, Christine never feels like an outsider but knows so well how it feels to be misunderstood. Talking about the world, how it could be a better place. Being completely honest with each other, connect, and be "raw".
Are you alone in the world? No, you're not, I know...
It seems that multipotentialites always have had an extremely difficult life. Why is that? How can we change that?
"When I think too much, I overthink"
