Maximillian didn’t want to benefit from his friend Arthur’s demise, but he had to bridge the news of the murder and refocus everyone on the stars and performances of the theater. Arthur’s body was carried away, a final dramatic act for the stage, his first ever role outside of playwright. A paranoia had settled in among the cast and crew, everyone moving too fast to stop and accept what had happened, but in the back of their minds knowing there was a killer on the loose.
