In this episode of Unexplained, your host Lisa discusses the horrible murder of 19 year old Nona Dirksmeyer in December 2005.

In Part 1, we will discuss Nona's beginnings, her childhood trauma, and her family history.

We will dive into her love of pageants and she was Pope County Fair Queen in 2003 or 2004 and she won two titles in two different pageants in 2004/2005 that allowed her to compete in the Miss Arkansas Pageant in June 2005.

We will outline, her relationship with her boyfriend Kevin, her apartment she lived in by herself since the age of 18 (the circumstances behind her living alone) and her life up until the night of December 15, 2005, when Nona would no longer be alive and her family would be devastated.

We will cover the 1st trial of the 1st suspect in this awful tale.

The failure of the Russellville Police Department to investigate the crime. And how the first trial will end in an acquittal.
