In this conversation, Elliot and I dive into decoy spread strategies, reading ducks, and the impact of weather on hunts. Elliot also introduces his North American Waterfowler app, which allows hunters to track their hunts and analyze data for better success. We discuss the importance of setting up the spinner stake at the right distance and how to measure it accurately, the need for hunters to have a good understanding of distance and the use of rangefinders or stepping off distances to improve accuracy. We also have a conversation on the importance of enjoying the moment while duck hunting and finding the sense of adventure in the experience. Finally, we touch on the topic of reading ducks and how body language and calling can play a role in attracting them.

In this conversation, Jimmy Muller and I discuss various topics related to choke tubes and shotgun patterns. We cover the importance of the gap between the choke and the barrel, the significance of shooting multiple shots when pattern testing, and the role of point of impact and gun fit. Additionally, Jimmy discusses the importance of point of impact and how it can be influenced by barrel quality and gun fit. Gun fitting is an important aspect of shooting, but it is often overlooked. We also cover pattern testing and how to do it properly.
