About Dr. Brianna Rhue:

Brianna Rhue earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona before earning her Doctorate of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University. She completed her residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami and is a partner at West Broward Eyecare in South Florida. Dr. Rhue is passionate about health care technology, myopia management, specialty contact lens fits, and practice management. She enjoys sharing her love for technology and myopia management through speaking engagements to help optometrists understand business,
technology and new areas of care to help all parties involved.

Dr. Rhue is the immediate past president of the Broward County Optometric Association and was awarded by the Florida Optometric Association the Local Society Member of the year in 2019. She is the co-founder of the technology company Dr. Contact Lens. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, playing tennis, standing on her head in yoga and
traveling.

About Dr. Natalie Chai:

Dr. Natalie Chai founded the Dry Eye Centre at Precision Eye Care when she joined the team in March of 2020. Dr. Chai attended the University of Alberta before receiving early acceptance to Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon, where she earned her joint Bachelor’s Degree in Vision Science and Doctor of Optometry. Prior to practice, she successfully completed the Canadian Assessment of Competence in Optometry (CACO) as well as the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) in the United States. Her practice is focused on Dry Eye Disease, Myopia Management, and Specialty Contact Lenses – these are specialties that are under-represented and under-used in the Edmonton region. Dr. Chai is happy to serve the community, co-manage with other health professionals, and help educate and empower her colleagues who seek to do the same.

About Philip Cheng:

A Fellow of the International Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (FIAOMC) and with 19 years of clinical experience in the profession, Melbourne optometrist Philip Cheng is an internationally-recognised industry leader in myopia management. He is the director of Eyecare Concepts Melbourne, an independent practice with a focus on paediatric eye care, myopia control, orthoK and specialty contact lenses.

Philip is dedicated to providing world-class, comprehensive myopia care to children and teenagers, and passionate about peer education as well as promoting public awareness of the issues around childhood myopia and the options now available to treat this progressive condition.

He has been an industry spokesperson for Myopia Awareness Week, a consultant for the Brien Holden Vision Institute Academy, professional involvement in the Essilor Myopia Management Education Project, contributing writer for OA Pharma magazine, a presenter on myopia management for Optometry Australia and the University of Melbourne, and a Board Member of the Orthokeratology Society of Oceania. Recently he presented at the Global Myopia Symposium, Asia-Pacific Myopia Symposium and the World Council of Optometry Global Myopia Management Virtual Event.

About Paul Chamberlain:

As myopia program lead, Paul Chamberlain is currently responsible for the strategic direction and execution of CooperVision’s research in this area. From 2011 to 2016 he managed a team of optometrists who supported all clinical product development activities within R&D.
Before joining CooperVision in 2011, Paul spent five years managing industry sponsored research studies at Eurolens Research at the University of Manchester. Prior to that, he was part of Michel Guillon’s research team at Optometric Technology Group in London.
Paul earned his bachelor’s degree in optometry from City University in London.

About Dr. Michael Lipson:

Dr. Michael Lipson is recently retired from his position as an optometrist/associate
professor at University of Michigan, department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science.
His clinical practice involves specialty contact lenses: OrthoK, keratoconus, post-corneal transplant, post-refractive surgery and severe dry eye patients. He has published peer-reviewed clinical research studies on OrthoK, vision-related quality of life, myopia management and new lens designs. He lectures nationally and internationally on those same topics. Dr. Lipson developed a validated questionnaire to assess vision-related
quality of life for all types of vision correction, including OrthoK. He has authored
chapters in textbooks on OrthoK, scleral lenses and general contact lens topics. Dr.
Lipson is the author of the book “Contemporary OrthoKeratology”. He also is a reviewer
for a number of highly-respected peer-reviewed journals in the ophthalmic community.
He is a consultant to the specialty contact lens industry emphasizing OrthoK education.
He is on the GPLI Advisory Board, served as Vice-President of the Scleral Lens Education
Society and served on the Scleral Lens Education Society Board for many years.
