The Myrtles Plantation has a host of legends attached to it. Spirits are seen there frequently, which comes as no surprise considering the horrors that occurred here. The wealthy families that gained ownership before and during the Civil War saw disease, famine, and looting occur at the house, as well as random acts of violence. It's said that the slaves once kept here now roam, seeking revenge for the evil deeds of their masters. Was the house punishing them all along?
