The Naked Apple

This week, instead of mulling over world ending stories, we examined three different items to help us gauge what time it is in the world today. First we look into the background leading up to Patrick Henry's famous "Give me liberty or give me death" speech. Then we explore the music and lyrics behind "Feed the Machine" by Poor Man's Poison. We top it all off by delving into the meaning behind various parts of Rudyard Kipling's poem "The Gods of the Copybook Headings." Thank you for your continued support. Don't forget to like and share and leave a review.

Background to give me liberty or give me death: https://www.historicstjohnschurch.org/2nd-virginia-convention

This week has been filled with stuff that just isn't funny anymore. Our economy is tanking, energy prices are skyrocketing, groceries cut more out of family budgets, kids are being groomed for sex in elementary schools. Meanwhile, our politicians are playing political games to just increase their power. The world is upside down, and inside-out and we're expected to hold on, pretend this is normal and wait for that "red wave" to right the ship when all it looks like it would do at this point is just tip it over the other way. We do cover some glimmers of hope though, and will continue to seek those out while also bringing you as much information to make your own decisions off of. Thank you all for the support!

----The good----

This week we look at a handful of stories going on around the federal level and then we shift gears to a handful of stories that are by no means connected to each other. Seriously, no dots to connect there at all. Not a common thread to be found. Just things like the usual teen and young adult blood clot season, life expectancy dropping and a cure for cancer. All of these and more unconnected stories can be found in this episode. Thanks for your support. Please don't forget to leave us a review and share and like and subscribe and....

The best endorsement one can receive from Mitt Romney: https://www.deseret.com/utah/2022/9/9/23345036/mike-lee-support-republican-senators-except-mitt-romney-not-endorse-evan-mcmullin

In light of former vice president Biden's speeches last week, we decided to ditch the news stories we had and turn or focus else where. In the end, all of the things we cover are pretty much the same thing, leading in the same direction. In order to be prepared for that direction and to hopefully prevent the arrival to that destination, we need to prepare ourselves. We dust off our scriptures to look at what can be done individually in putting on the "whole armor of God." Follow along in Ephesians 6, and hopefully in our... unorthodox Sunday school lesson, you can glean something new or rekindle a fire that was once there before. We're all going to need each other to stand up and protect what we feel and know is right and good, but we must first focus on getting ourselves prepared before we can be helpful to others in this spiritual war being played out in the physical world.

This week we look at the worst game of hide and seek. Democrats shut down an amendment to the "Inflation Recovery Bill" that would have prevented the new IRS agents from auditing people making less than $400K. Department of energy casually states that every home is out of compliance for green energy stuff. The definitely nothing to hide affidavit was released, we pour over that to glean from the wealth of knowledge contained therein. The switch has started where the blame for poor covid vaccine performance is blamed on Trump and not on the forced roll out of it from the top down after he left. These things and more in this week's episode. Thank you all for your support, we're in the works of making more and better content for you constantly, because we care.....

We are both back in the saddle this week to bring you some stories and insight that we've rounded up over the last two weeks. We spend some time looking at various failures and incompetency of various law enforcement type agencies, leading up to the FBI raid on Donald Trump's home. If you missed the "I Have Rights" episode from a couple of weeks ago, it'd be a good refresher to see why these agencies have failed. We then shift gears to examine some foolish decisions and the people behind them, like failing to think through all of the needs of having electric vehicles become the primary transportation in the US. We finish off this three course meal with some better news of evidence of conservative principles and ideas winning throughout the country. It's great to be back and thanks, as usual, for all of your support.

----- Bad Government -----

This week, a highlight of some episodes that have come before. Mike needed some time to celebrate his family getting a little bigger, so we celebrate by highlighting some of our *ahem* .... finer... moments.  Thank you all for your growing support, and don't forget to spread the love via likes and all that. Oh and if you could send Mike some love, he'd love to see that in the comments and however else you access us. Enjoy! and a new episode will be here next week.

This week's episode is a pre-recorded slice of history we did on looking at the rights specifically spelled out in the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights and why they're important. Various stories and articles we have covered recently have shown that people either don't know their rights or don't care about them, or both! With what has happened over this last weekend with Donald Trump and the FBI raid, it is extremely fitting that this episode is released this week. We hope you enjoy and learn something new, like we did. Thank you for your continued support!

This week we look to take offense! Or give it... It doesn't matter, we have fun either way. Biden let's us know what he really thinks about Americans. Representative Matt Gaetz takes the stage a couple of times in some shining moments. A plan to fight inflation by raising taxes and increasing energy costs. An ATF agent has an unfortunate run in with the law. The Census Bureau is looking for who bought... holsters??? All these fun things and more in this week's offensive episode. Thank you all for your new and continued support. Don't forget to give a like and a share.

This week we take a dive off the ol' warrant board. We cover a handful of stories of law enforcement trying to collect firearm owner information without a warrant. What could POSSIBLY go wrong with that? Some related stories as well, like a moment in congress where you can just feel the frustration of trying to explain away willful ignorance right up to straight up admitting the point of new gun laws is to basically get rid of all the guns. Oh! We also take a peek at what's going on in the auto industry and their big push for electric cars. It's a fun one with plenty of laughs and aneurisms along the way. Thank you very much for your support.
