Today we finish 2 Chronicles in pages 123-135 of Book 3 of The Narrative Reading Bible: Providence and Perseverance. Hezekiah leads Judah in a great Passover celebration, uniting the people in worship and bringing renewal. After his death, his son Manasseh rules with extreme wickedness, but later repents and seeks God. His son Amon reigns briefly and continues in evil, while Josiah becomes king and brings major reforms, including repairing the temple and restoring worship. Despite Josiah’s faithful efforts, the people return to sin, and after his death, Judah falls deeper into idolatry. Eventually, Babylon conquers Jerusalem, destroys the temple, and takes the people into exile.
We are reading The Berean Standard Bible (BSB) translation.

The Narrative Reading Bible offers a fresh and immersive experience of Scripture, designed to guide readers through the Bible as a unified, continuous story of God’s enduring relationship with humanity. This six-volume work invites you to journey through the Bible's metanarrative, which unfolds as a four-part framework: Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Restoration. It illuminates how each book of the Bible contributes to the metanarrative and culminates in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
Utilizing the Berean Standard Bible (BSB) translation, known for its accuracy and readability, The Narrative Reading Bible retains the full biblical text while presenting it in a seamless, reader-friendly format. Section headings, footnotes, and traditional markers have been removed to create an uninterrupted reading experience, making it ideal for both personal study and public reading.
