How confident are you that you will see property tax relief in Idaho? After that discussion Nate talked about Veolia wanting to raise water prices in Boise by 24.1%. • Rants, Raves, Drug Dogs, and Menstrual Products
To start off Rant and Rave Friday Nate Shelman was joined by Cam McGuire from the Idaho Steelheads! He discussed tonight's game on your (temporary) home for Idaho Steelheads Hockey. The Idaho Supreme Court made a ruling this week that said that a drug dog trespassed because he put his paws on the outside of someone's car because he sniffed drugs in that vehicle. The Idaho Legislature voted on a bill that would have provided free menstrual products in girls restrooms in public schools. While the bill failed, Nate and Sophie discussed their opposing opinions on this bill. Do you think it is the government's responsibility to provide pads and tampons in public schools? Do you even care about this? There is a proposed National ban of TikTok due to concerns over China being able to influence politics or spy on Americans through the app. Do you think the app should be banned in the US. • Lower SAT Scores, A Veto, And A Law
Idaho ranked #40 for SAT scores in 2022. Nate Shelman asks: Does this bother you? This conversation moved into the question: What is there for the younger generation to discover or develop? The bill that would have allowed parents to teach their children how to drive was vetoed by Governor Little. The most interesting thing about that is that after that veto more than a dozen Idaho Representatives changed their yes votes to no so there was no longer a veto proof majority. What are your thoughts? Another bill became law today. The Clean Slate Act seals a non-violent, non-sexual misdemeanor from someone's record if they have not committed any crimes in at least five years since that offense. Is this a good idea or bad idea? (3/22/23)

Today the news came out that a judge has ruled that Lori Vallow Daybell is not eligible for the death penalty. For an hour Nate Shelman gave you a chance to air your opinions about that. Are you okay with it, or is this not what you wanted? Nate got a text that said "If Trump is indicted, he will win the primary." Do you think that is true? Ending the show locally, The Idaho Legislature finally passed a property tax relief bill. Are you stoked about it? Do you still think more needs to be done? (3/21/23)

The other bill passed the Idaho House State Affairs Committee and it would prohibit certain materials from being available for children in public libraries. Jim also took your rants and raves! • A Fine To Gain Permanent Residency And A Brandishing Exception
What does the word "amnesty" mean to you? If an illegal immigrant was told they could get permanent residency as long as they, didn't have a criminal history besides being here illegally, had a job, and paid a fine, would you consider that amnesty? There is a Joint Senate Memorial in Idaho to ask the Federal Government to create permanent citizenship if illegal immigrants fall under the three things mentioned above. What are your thoughts? After we wrapped that topic up Nate Shelman discussed a bill that would expand on the stand your ground law in Idaho. The bill would allow you to show your gun to someone or tell them you have it if someone is coming at you with illegal physical violence. Do you think this is a good idea or bad? (3/16/23)

After those discussions Nate Shelman was joined by Brian Wiley from The Real Money Pros. Wiley discussed the three banks that have failed and what that actually means for you. Are you worried about your finances right now? Listen to the end of this podcast, or to The Real Money Pros on Saturdays from 12pm-2pm, to hear more about how worried you should be right now.
