Zimbabwe bans all raw mineral exports with immediate effect
Zimbabwe has imposed an immediate freeze on exports of all raw minerals and lithium concentrate, the mines ministry announced yesterday, tightening state control over resources critical to global clean-energy and defence industries.
"Government expects cooperation of the mining industry on this measure, which has been taken in the national interest," Mines Minister Polite Kambamura said in a statement.
The ban covers all raw minerals already in transit and remains in place until further notice.

Angola's state oil firm Sonangol seeks $4.8 billion loan from China for refinery
- Angola's state oil company Sonangol is talking to Chinese financial institutions to secure a $4.8 billion loan to partly finance the construction of a new refinery in the Atlantic sea port of Lobito.
The company was engaging with "financial institutions in China" to secure funding for one phase of the $6.2 billion, Sonangol's CEO Sebastiao Gaspar Martins told a news briefing
3. Kenya - Zimbabwe
Kenya Expels Zimbabwean Lawyer Brian Kagoro Over Alleged Role in Funding Protests
Kenya has expelled Zimbabwean constitutional lawyer and civic advocate Brian Bright Kagoro, alleging he was involved in an externally financed effort to trigger political unrest through organised protests.
Immigration officials declared Kagoro persona non grata and escorted him out of the country via Jomo Kenyatta International Airport late Sunday after subjecting him to several hours of questioning.
