Comoros’ ruling party has won 28 out of 33 seats in Parliament, according to election results announced on Tuesday.

That means the Convention for the Renewal of the Comoros party of President Azali Assoumani retained its majority in the Indian Ocean archipelago.

African Union commends Somalia, Ethiopia for restoring ties

Ethiopia and Somalia buried their year-long hatchet caused by Addis Ababa's quest for sea access from Somaliland. The African Union has called the restoration of full ties between the two countries an 'important milestone.

The Grobler’s Bridge crossing in northern South Africa is used for trade, especially by miners in the Copperbelt region straddling Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo moving cargo to the port of Durban.
