2. Mozambique - Maputo 

• Mozambique's outgoing administration says the opposition is using children to paralyse trade and make the country ungovernable. 

• South Africa reopened its trade-critical border post to cargo again on Thursday. 

• Groups protesting the recent election had intended to bring the country to a standstill until Friday. 

3, China- Nigeria 

Nigeria signs $1.2 billion deal with Chinese state-owned company to revamp key gas plant 

Nigeria has inked a $1.2 billion deal with a Chinese firm to revitalize a gas processing facility, a move that officials say could propel the African country to a leading position in aluminium production. 

4. Botswana- Gaborone  

Lesego Chombo is the youngest minister in Duma Boko's cabinet 

• Botswana's newly-elected president, Duma Boko, has appointed the youngest person to his cabinet of ministers 

• Former Miss Botswana and Miss World Africa Lesego Chombo was appointed as the country's Minister of Youth and Gender at the age of 26 

• South Africans hailed the appointment as progressive and called on South Africa's government to take note

The options for the recovery of funds lost in the contravention of foreign shareholding in the country by FlySafair Airline would have to to include either the State, through amendments, taking over the low-cost carrier, the South African Revenue Services (SARS) calculating the amount of tax lost and the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) invoking legislation of money transfers on the matter, analysts have said.
