A year on, Libya is still rebuilding flood-hit Derna 

A year after extremely heavy rain caused two dams to burst upstream from the eastern coastal city of Derna, its residents have long given up on finding the remains of their families in the debris.

The death toll continues to rise in Algeria and Morocco following deadly flooding caused by torrential rains. More than 20 people have died and dozens others are missing in both countries after floods swamped villages in the normally arid region.

South Sudanese living with disability bear the brunt of floods 

Flooding puts lives in jeopardy as heavy rains have caused widespread flooding in South Sudan this year, affecting more than 700,000 people so far, according to United Nations estimates, while the rainy season continues.
