Co-operative Governance Minister, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, has sought to explain the reasons behind the suspension on the sale of alcohol - saying it sometimes leads to uninformed decision-making by people amid the coronavirus pandemic. President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that alcohol sales have been suspended with immediate effect - as part of government's renewed measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus. There are 276-thousand-242 confirmed coronavirus cases - of which around 135-thousand have recovered. Over four-thousand people have died from Covid19-related illnesses. Dlamini-Zuma was speaking during a virtual media briefing in Pretoria.
