We hear from eThekwini Municipality about how they are planning to deal with the ongoing water challenges in Verulam. This after our conversation with the Verulam Water Crisis Committee yesterday, following their water protest. Their spokesperson, Roshan Lil-Ruthan, told us that the community of Trenance Park in Verulam north of Durban, have been without water for more than three months.

The trial-within-a-trial in the Senzo Meyiwa murder case is currently underway in the high court in Pretoria. The case was adjourned this morning to allow the defence to go through the dockets of ongoing investigations the accused are linked to. Five men are currently on trial for the murder of the soccer captain who was shot and killed in 2014.
