As we head towards the end of the year, graduates of medical schools wait for confirmation on which healthcare facility within government they will serve for the next 2 years as part of their community service internship. However, the Department of Health has faced challenges placing all the interns in public hospitals in the following fields: radiographers, physiotherapists, dietitians, dentists and environmental health practitioners. Without a placement, medical graduates are not allowed to practice.
