Israel's Foreign Ministry has confirmed that it has recalled its ambassador to South Africa for consultations. This follows what it refers to as the "latest statements from South Africa". This comes just over a week after the International Relations Department formally reprimanded ambassador Eliav Belotsercovsky. This was over conduct that the department described as unfortunate in relation to the war between Israel and Hamas.
