The Gauteng Government at the beginning of the month committed to opening applications for parents and caregivers  of children  who are addicted to drugs to be accommodated on state facilities when their children are admitted for rehabilitation. The Department of Social Development in the province has launched a 24 hour anti-substance abuse call centre service and it will among other things accommodate parents. This is  bid to fight against substance abuse in Gauteng. How will it work and how can parents of addicted children apply? We are now joined Gauteng’s MEC for Social Development, Mbali Hlophe.
