The EFF in Buffalo City are calling for the dismissal of a restaurant manager at Las Vegas Spur, in Hemmingways East London after an employee reportedly died on duty. The party says the manager forced 35-year-old Funiwe Nkebe to report for duty even though she called in sick. Funiwe collapsed during her shift and was rushed to hospital, where she died.

Suspended ANC Secretary-General Ace Magashule will not apologize to party President Cyril Ramaphosa. Magashule was given 48 hours to apologise publicly for the unlawful suspension letter he sent to president Ramaphosa last week. Briefing the media yesterday, ANC acting secretary-general Jessie Duarte said she hoped Magashule "will rise to the occasion" and duly apologise to ANC structures.

World News: A new deadline has been set for refugees and asylum seekers housed in temporary shelters in South Africa's City of Cape Town to either accept re-integration into their host communities or face eviction. South Africa's Home affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi said that the refugees have until this coming Saturday- 15th of May, to make a decision. Violent clashes over the status of Jerusalem have escalated dramatically over the last 24 hours with Hamas-fired rockets from Gaza into Israel and retaliatory airstrikes leading to international calls for the violence to stop.
