Hello friend! The podcast is back! In this episode of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT), I continue my mini-series honoring mid-life transits by sharing my experience with the intoxicating Neptune square Neptune, which folks experience around the age of 42.
Neptune in the chart shows us how we engage with mysticism and spirituality and connect to the cosmos beyond the self. Still, it is also the planet of illusion and confusion. Join me in this exploration, and we’ll go through the looking glass together.
I’ve been under the influence of Neptune for some time, and its very nature makes it confusing to bring Neptune into form, so this episode is not a complete analysis but reflective of my experience.
I also experienced transiting Neptune, squaring all my personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars), nodal axis, and natal Uranus before experiencing Neptune square Neptune. Recently, I had Neptune conjunct the Ascendant, and presently, Neptune is square my midheaven. That doesn’t mean I am unique, but more so a reflection of the number of times I’ve been around the Sun. It's very likely you, too, have been under the influence of Neptune but didn’t know it at the time.
In addition, I share a few ways I have honored and given expression to Neptune’s lessons and how I surrendered under states of confusion.
Enjoy!

I am pleased to welcome Lisa Quigley, the Glitch Witch, in episode six of season two. Tune in and hear how Lisa's reading helped me launch my first community container and how I discovered just how impactful it was post-launch! I adore synchronicities like this one.
We then discussed the theme of season two, moving through change in our lives and work. We start by exploring a pivotal moment of vulnerability on our path, where we first revealed more about ourselves and our work publicly and what happened when our work began to change and shift. We also discussed what it feels like to continually choose authenticity and how that goes hand in hand with letting folks have their opinions about us or our work.
Lisa is another wonderful human with a significant Aquarian assignment (Aquarius Rising, Sun, Mercury with a Leo Moon), so we had to talk about aliens and the distortion that comes with that.
Welcome, Lisa!

In episode five of season two of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT), I am fulfilling a promise to deliver the first in a series of episodes on midlife transits: the Pluto square. But first, I reflect on my Solar return and how I marked the transition.
Pluto is a planet with themes of power, transformation, and change. When we experience a Pluto square, we are confronted with our attachment to past patterns and beliefs that activate the ways we experience psychological wounding. It is a time when we are called to leave behind outdated ways of being.
This won’t be a class on Pluto or Pluto through the signs but rather an exploration of the Plutonic transit experience. However, given the timely relevance, I will speak about Pluto in Aquarius and Pluto in the Libra (1971-1984) and Scorpio (1983-1995) generations.
Join me as I meander through this transit, share the story of my Pluto square in 2014, and invite you to create a re-birth plan if your Pluto square is on the horizon.

In episode four of season two of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT), I am pleased to welcome back Samar Jade, my first guest when the podcast launched in January earlier this year. After a brief update on the astrology of the moment, we quickly moved into the subject matter at hand — the subversive and sensual joy of having a fat body. While the focus is sharing our experiences of moving through a change in the acceptance of our fat bodies, this episode has many provocative moments for ALL body types.
Join us as we discuss what it feels like to fully inhabit and accept one’s body after being at war with it for a long time and the overindulgence of being both joyful and fat simultaneously. In addition, Samar shares the work of Sabrina Strings, which connects fat phobia in the United States to white supremacy.
We reflect on where our body shame started, our first taste of diet culture, and discuss the connection between desire, distortion, and the commodification of our shame. Bodies are personal, and yet our culture feels entitled to comment on and objectify them. Tune in and hear about our experiences of both joy and pleasure in our fat bodies.
Welcome back, Samar!

In this episode of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT), in honor of Jupiter stationing retrograde, I share one of my favorite tales of transformation and change told through the descent of Inanna, a Sumerian fertility goddess. I offer it as another way of exploring your experience of moving through change and how surrendering the more solar parts of self makes space for the lunar knowing to emerge.
Also, in this episode, I talk about Venus’ cycles, Saturn & Neptune’s ingress into Aries, and the experience of initial midlife transits, Pluto square Pluto and Neptune square Neptune, along with advice for anyone feeling confused.

In episode two of season two, I am joined once more by one of my magical siblings and fave Aquarian Suns, shayde. We met in Britten LaRue’s Vulture Coven in 2023, and both moved through The Magician’s Table this spring.
Join us as we discuss what it feels like to explore the possibility of a different world filled with “radical, love-based humans.” We chat about shayde’s evolution from Word Mage, Beholding, to Wonderchild and what happens when your life becomes a “lucid dream.”
We also discuss the mutability of our astrological axes, building a life on shifting sands, living in constant metamorphosis as magical humans, claiming accountability for our complicity in the circumstances in which we find ourselves, and discovering the authority within. Plus, using all of that to lead others in building the world they want to live in.
shayde shares their POV on Pluto’s ingress back into Capricorn, the archetypal symbolism of deer, and we wax poetic about debilitated Suns and experiencing eclipses in our personal astrology. And so much more!
Welcome back, shayde!
shayde’s bio:
shayde is the creator of Wonderchild, a spirituality brand that centers self-exaltation and revels in the marvel of creative control. shayde speaks the languages of astrology, human design, and tarot, but his professional tool of choice is Wonderchild’s quintessential framework: The Divine Fundamentals. shayde brings a fantastical and lyrical flare, as well as a practical and scrutinizing sensibility to helping others dissolve internal barriers and re-engage with possibility. His presence has been described as “air in neptunian water space,” “pop culture archetype interpreter,” and “for highly creative people who are not afraid of their minds.” shayde is a cis male, proudly queer, with Black American, White Italian, White French, and Native American lineage. You can find him on Instagram @won.der.child.

Welcome, friend, to episode one of Season Two of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT)! This season's theme is moving through change, encompassing many different topics. I am thrilled to welcome my friend and fellow astrologer and diviner, Jana Barrett, back to the podcast.
In this episode, we share our experience engaging our emotional flexibility in online and offline spaces to connect with those with different beliefs or viewpoints. We discuss that while curating your online space can be great, it can also be isolating by creating echo chambers that impact our day-to-day offline lives. The content of this episode was inspired by one of Jana’s social posts, which also happened to be something I was contemplating.
We discussed how the tendency to want to ‘win’ in a conversation creates competition rather than mutual understanding. We share some personal experiences experimenting with a more curious and playful approach. Jana also shared some insightful perspectives regarding privilege and how it is a privilege not to engage with folks who believe differently than we do, plus an invitation to look at the motivations behind wanting to close ourselves off.
And, of course, we also meander through some astrology, both personal and collective. We talk about our profection years, retrograde Pluto’s ingress into Capricorn for the last time in our lives, plus a bit about Neptune and projection, and what happens when we give a reading that feels more Uranian, uncomfortable or activating in some way.
Welcome back, Jana!

In episode 30 of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT), I wrap up Season One of the podcast by reflecting on my experience since its launch in January 2024, and then I look ahead at the theme of Season Two.
To say this podcast impacted my life would be a massive understatement, so much so that I thought about calling this episode ‘Podcasting as a Spiritual Journey.’ I feel more myself than ever, and my heart is full of gratitude for everyone who guested and tuned in each week.
Because I am in the process of launching my first long-form transformative container, I share more about my dreams for its inaugural cohort in this episode, as well as how this podcast was very much a part of its inception.
Check out SOVEREIGN, Transformational Self-Leadership for Future Ancestors—we commence Sept. 22, 2024.

In episode 29 of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT), I explore the richness of making mistakes and taking the emotional charge out of failure.
This morning, I discovered one of my own in my Virgo New Moon forecast, much to my chagrin. Long story short, I’ve been experimenting with batching my work as it increases, and clearly, my QA process needs another step. 🤓
Tune in as I reflect on my past learning opportunities and how examining them has shaped my future by creating space for change. CW: I went into unplanned territory with this episode, and I touched on my emotional trauma, religious trauma, and abortion. So feel free to skip this one. 😅 I don’t go into any medical details but look back on the mistake of not sharing it with anyone out of shame.

In episode 28 of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT), I am joined by holistic practitioner Leah Lubin. We met in 2015 while in New Mexico and recently reconnected as Leah was the recipient of my astrology reading giveaway, celebrating the first anniversary of my newsletter. During our time together, I was reminded of Leah’s beautiful presence and thought you would enjoy spending time with her, too.
Join us as we discuss her path to becoming a hands-on healer, from studying psychology to starting her career as a licensed massage therapist, which ended up being a gateway to practicing acupuncture. Also, in this episode, Leah reflects on the end of a professional working relationship, which was pivotal in aligning her with the next step on her path. We explore the impact of childhood experiences on life as an adult who struggled with feelings of inadequacy and doubt. We also share many Venusian moments of how she finds wonder and beauty in everyday moments and what it is like to court The Star card in the tarot and discover the safety, peace, and joy within herself.
Welcome, Leah!
Leah’s Bio:
Leah is a holistic practitioner living in Tampa, FL, integrating acupuncture, herbalism, yoga, qi gong, spiritual guidance, and energy healing. She is an artist, auntie, cat mom, magic maker, and booty shaker. She is especially adept at leading others to the heart of the matter as well as energizing self-compassion, trust, and protection so they are able to move through life with greater ease, clarity, and joy.
Leah loves being a bridge between Western minds and Eastern energy concepts and teaching the multidimensional nature of energy medicine in the human body.
Along her own sacred journey, Leah has learned the profound healing that can come from the pure act of allowing our heart and soul to be nurtured.
And whenever she can, she stops to smell the flowers.
