The Nearly Nerds Podcast

In a dramatic battle of nerdiness and lore, our three hosts discuss the impossible. From tunnels under cities to radioactive facial hair, every discussion question revolves around one simple topic: If YOU were... a Superhero (Bum bummm Ba-baaaaa)! In this episode, the hosts bring together different questions about this topic in hopes of unlocking their full potential and identity as superheroes!

Some of these questions are incredibly interesting. If you want to follow along and tell us some of your answers and additional questions of your own, you can tag us on Instagram at thenearlynerdspodcast or email us at [email protected]

Remember, handle these questions carefully; For with great power comes great responsibility.

In this episode, Declan and Sam discuss Toy Story 2, the successor to Pixar's very first movie. Be prepared for a boatload of references, characters, themes, and even a retelling of the original story. Thank you for listening to this episode... we are eternally grateful.

Once upon a time, there was group of nerds (though very nearly was their nerdiness) who made a podcast episode about Finch. With a new segment called nearly noticed, Tom Hanks (again), and a renowned, inspiring quote from Declan, this episode is not based on initiative.

Warning: to listen to this episode is to enter a toxic atmosphere as our hosts get into heated discussion over their top ten favorite animated Disney originals. Truth be told, they may need to prepare themselves for a dual over Aladdin and Wreck-It Ralph.

Also, we do apologize for the wait on this episode. We will try as best we can to get episodes out on Wednesdays and Fridays!

Sam and Declan (Lincoln was not present for this episode) kick off their Pixar segment by starting with the first movie it ever put out... Toy Story. From discussing their genius world building and characters, to looking at their deeper, symbolic meaning, these two hosts fly through this wild journey of- Oh, I'm sorry. Did I say "fly"? I suppose you could argue we were "falling with style"... Why don't you watch the episode?

Happy 2023, friends! In this episode, three hosts kick off the new year by talking about the stories of 2022 as well as discuss the projects yet to come. It is here we learn that Andor is a Marvel movie, Jack Black's name is Jack Black, and MJ's famous line in Spiderman: No Way Home was predicting the future of the MCU...

Sam, Declan, and Lincoln each pick one TV show and one movie, and each discuss how they would improve it, (if had the chance). After such a battle of harsh debate and criticism, perhaps only one host will return for the next episode.
