      I have just read that since the Switch launched in march, there are 130 games for the console. (Which is crazy!)
      
      Quick question, Have you played and enjoyed a game on Switch which no one else has heard of, a game which did not release to fanfare, or set the charts ablaze ?
      
      My choice would be Shephy, A single player card game involving sheep!
      
      The amount of games coming out is great, but some good/great games must get buried and quickly forgotten.

      • Honestly it is so tough to keep up.  I've had just a passing experience with the game, Quest of Dungeons is a fantastic roguelike game that I highly recommend.  If you're looking for multiplayer action.  Astrobears is a shallow but really fun party game for $5.  Thanks for listening.

    • Hey dude podcast is good. I already reviewed your podcast on apple. I happen to have one little question maybe you could spend 1/2 a second on. here it is I am a physical game buyer mostly to because I do not want to blow a lot of money on an expensive sd card. However I do have a 128 gb card and am thinking of buying games digital or start to and I notice the switch hasa quick archive option so does that mean if an sd card is full or close to full you can use that option to free space on the card. Its my understanding that only the game downloads to the card and the saved file of the game data saves to the switch and do you think a 128 sd card is good for buying all digital I mean worst case buy another that size and switch them out?

    • re: the NES and SNES Classics... after wasting several months of my life
      trying to score an NES Classic (and later an SNES Classic), I finally
      got fed up with Nintendo's incompetence and went ahead and built an
      emulation station using a Raspberry Pi. I now have a better experience,
      with more games, including non-Nintendo consoles, and wireless
      controllers. I can only devote so much time of the day stalking online
      sites (even using services like NowInStock which often didn't respond
      fast enough for the handful of minutes things become available), so if
      Nintendo isn't going to take these devices seriously enough to want my
      money, then lots of people like me are going to have moral shifts in
      order to obtain the same (or better) experience.
      
      Re: Metroid poll... I actually jumped from the original NES right to the
      Wii (having switched to PC gaming in the interim) so I'd happily play
      whatever Metroid games for Switch get produced. Metroid is my second
      favorite franchise, after Zelda. Despite having a emulation box, the
      appeal of playing portably and in HD would be sufficient for me to buy
      remakes of games I already can emulate the originals of.
      
      re: FIFA18 sales... not all Nintendo Switch owners are sports fans. Not
      all sports fans are FIFA/soccer fans. And not all Switch-owning soccer
      fans are fans of bloated, crippled games where the savefiles are almost
      the size of the entirety of Super Mario Odyssey, and you can't play
      online with your friends. Incompetence and laziness should not be
      rewarded, and if EA is going to use this as a metric for whether they
      bring additional games to the Switch, well that's their loss and
      meanwhile we've got plenty of other games to play. There are only so
      many hours in the day anyway.

      We are starting to see some of those graphically intensive games like NBA 2K18 and FIFA 18 played on the Switch. They seem to have a lot of problems running on the Switch.
      
      Do you think we will have the same problem as we did with the Wii U where 3rd party developers will stop trying to make these games on the Switch?
      
      Seems like they are having the same problems bringing games to the Switch that they had for the Wii U.  The big difference is the success of the Switch versus the failure of the Wii U. Developers have a big incentive now to get their games on the Switch where they didn’t have that on the Wii U.  It just seems like too big of a task and I imagine it’s a lot of work for these developers to try and put these games on the Switch.
      
      Should we accept the Switch as a system mainly for Nintendo made games and smaller indie type games?

      I have been a long time Nintendo fan and have had all their main line home consoles that have come to the UK.
      Since buying the Switch I have been listening to lots of podcasts to keep up-to-date date with the latest news.
      The two I have settled on are Switchcraft and NVC. I feel that NVC gives me the multi voiced, multi opinionated mainstream view and Switchcraft gives me a more considered, nuanced and intimate experience.
      I love the shorter but more frequent format, I think about 30mins is about the sweet spot.
      Anyway keep up the good work.

      Just wanted to reach out. Great show. I listen to many podcasts covering a range of topics from politics, current affairs, sports and video games.
      
      I very much listen on the commute to work on crowded London trains and for this reason your show Nintendo Switch Craft stands out above the rest. Informative, unbiased, clear and perfect for someone who has a busy work life.
      
      On the digital v physical discussion, I have always bought physical on the basis I know I can trade-in games if I need to. I do also keep games I like, and have a proud collection. Predominantly a PS4 player, but since getting a Nintendo Switch I have been purchasing digital for the first time. I want to play without the hassle of juggling physical cartridges, allowing the Switch to truly feel portable. For the PS4, physical discs are going to continue being my form of choice. Digital will be my preferred delivery for the Switch.
      
      Lastly, keep up the great work. I know you a small set-up, but in terms of quality and passion you are on par and even above some of the more established big-budget podcasts out there. The fact you try support your wife's business through this adds that extra charm to the work you put into this project/hobby/passion of yours. I can feel the family vibe each time I listen to Nintendo Switch Craft.

  • 60fps vs 30 fps and the Doom conversation.

  • Speaking of DOOM will most likely support motion controls for aiming.

  • Semispheres -

    • Same world mirrored

    • Find or place portals to let you interact with the other plane.

    • Various power ups, like one that lets you place portals.  One that distracts Guards etc.

    • The core gameplay centers around using one side to distract guards to allow the other side to pass.  

    • Sometimes there are dotted lines that will get in your way.  So you can’t cross them.  

    • The game overall has a very mellow vibe, getting caught doesn’t have some huge penalty.  The music is atmospheric.  Made by the same composer as Anti-Chamber which needs a switch port.

    • Graphics are simple but effective.  (blue on the left red on the right)

    • There is a story about a guy and a robot,  I won’t get into it at all, but it plays out as a comic as you make your way through the game.

    • The game is a single player game, but could easily be a multiplayer game, which is where I think it would shine the most.

    • Adding in the ability to turn the joycons sideways for play would make playing this game multiplayer easier.  

    • Would also lead directly into what the switch is amazing for (local portable multiplayer with one system)

    • I’d definitely recommend Semispheres

    • 9.99 if you enjoy mellow puzzle games like this or the bridge, then its definitly a game for you, and 10 bucks isn’t too steep a price either.
