Stop comparing your weaknesses to others’ strengths and achievements. We can all fall into the comparison trap, however in order for us to grow and become the best we can be we need to kick this bad mental habit as it is not productive to our growth. We all have gifts and talents that are waiting to be pulled out from inside of us. In order to reach our full potential, we need to surround ourselves with the people who inspire and stretch us as well as, embrace and have patients with the journey of testing and learning. Being in debt was not the way we wanted to start our marriage. We recognized we had problems with our finances and had to figure out a game plan to pay it off. We quickly got on a budget and learned to implement the snowball method. 

In this video, we share our journey of implementing a first time budget plan and paying off $85,000 of our consumer debt load, which included credit cards, car loans, student loans and lines of credit. We had to learn to work together as a couple and to have constant communication as well as feeling the pain of delaying our gratification. 

We believe a budget gives you peace of mind and is an ongoing lifestyle choice, not solely a quick fix. With a budget plan, execution and patients we conquered our goal of paying off our debtors and are now living a debt free lifestyle!
