Warren is member of the Bundjalung people, the traditional owners of much of coastal northern New South Wales, he is a former National President of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) and former chairman of the Coalition government's Indigenous Advisory Council. Warren is also a businessman, Writer, Media Commentator, Political Strategist, self described introvert and (unashamed) capitalist.
