  • ThinkNow Drive™ – Automobile Buying Trends & Habits Report 2017
The automotive industry is showing early signs of becoming one of 2017’s fastest evolving industries. Electricity and hydrogen now power our vehicles straight out of the pages of a sci-fi thriller down paved streets that turn into our driveways.
To better understand what’s driving this change, ThinkNow Research surveyed a representative sample of U.S. Hispanics, African-Americans, Asians, and non-Hispanic whites regarding their vehicle purchasing habits. ThinkNow Drive™ is our latest research study that focuses on automobile buying trends and habits.

  • [Podcast] ThinkNow Affinity™ Brand Loyalty Study
If there is one “truth” that has persisted in multicultural marketing throughout the decades, it is the assumption that less acculturated Hispanics are more brand loyal than their bi-cultural and more acculturated Hispanic counterparts. But this persistent trope has trickled outside of the confines of Hispanic marketing. Less acculturated Hispanics are now considered the most brand-loyal consumer segment out of non-Hispanic whites, Asians, and African-Americans.
But where did that ideology come from? Let’s look at the genesis of how this may have come about. Less acculturated Hispanics are typically the recently immigrated population in the U.S. Because they are unfamiliar with the brands in the U.S., they look to advertising to help guide their purchasing decisions.
Highly visible brands compete for mind-share among less acculturated Hispanics. Top performing brands became “top” of mind as less accultured Hispanics assimilate to life in the U.S., creating loyalty that will last throughout the consumers’ lifetime and potentially to future generations as they pass down these purchasing habits.
In theory, it all makes sense. But, as we’re seeing across several consumer verticals right now, behavior is changing.
ThinkNow Affinity TM analyzes brand loyalty across the Total Market & several core CPG categories giving brands insight into how they can attract and retain brand loyalty among key demographics. The study contents include the following:
    1. Brand Switching by ethnicity
    2. Brand Switching by Category
    3. Brand Purchase Behavior by ethnicity
    4. Brand Purchase Behavior by Categories
    5. Brand Purchase Behavior by Hispanic Segments

  • [Podcast] ThinkNow Gen™ We Are Gen Z: We Are Shoppers Report
While Millennials still get the lion’s share of attention, Gen Z, the demographic cohort nipping at the heels of their older siblings, are beginning to take center stage. Known as the Plurals, Founders, or the iGeneration, Gen Z consumers may be setting their own rules, somewhat, but because of their age, still look to their parents and friends to make purchase decisions.
In the second wave of the ThinkNow Gen™ We Are Gen Z Report, a collaboration between ThinkNow Research and Sensis Agency, we take a closer look at how Gen Z shoppers make purchase decisions and how finances impact those decisions.

  • [Podcast] The Future Of Casual Dining? Asian Consumers
First quarter 2016 revealed the vulnerability of the casual dining industry. The bar-and-grill segment, typically a strong player, struggled, as the 4.1-percent decline in same-store sales at Chili’s last quarter showed us. And unfortunately, the second quarter of the year, at this point, isn’t looking much better.
ThinkNow Research has taken a closer look at this sector from a Total Market perspective. We were looking for signs of potential demographic trends that could help the casual dining industry regain its footing in the increasingly competitive restaurant industry.

  • [Podcast] Total Market Binge Viewing Report 2016
Binge viewing has not slowed down in 2016. Streaming services’ plot to keep us on our couches for as long as possible is working. Thankfully instacart is coming to more cities now so we can get our groceries delivered to us while we binge watch the last four seasons of House of Cards.
Regardless of age, binge viewing is a trend that is continuing to increase in popularity. Streaming services have been on a buying spree since Cannes last year, and it looks as though their investment is paying off. However, a more nuanced approach to content is still missing.
Our report delves deeper into the binge viewing habits of not only Hispanics and non-Hispanic whites, but also African-American and Asian viewers. Our data points to viewer habits that vary across ethnicities and our previous reports point to a distinct cultural difference in terms of the types of story-lines that resonate with each group.

  • [Podcast] African-American Consumer Sentiment Unsurpassed In Total Market
Earlier this year, ThinkNow Research conducted its annual consumer sentiment study among a representative sample of U.S. Hispanics, African-Americans, Asians, and non-Hispanic whites. This is the third year we have conducted this study, and it has now become one of the most widely cited consumer sentiment studies for its focus on multicultural consumers.
While our focus here is on African-American consumers, our data goes in depth across all cohorts.
