If you search “Canada Immigration” on Google, you get more than 600 million results in less than half a second, and for the term “US immigration” the number is over 2 billion.

Canada has been lately leading the pack of countries trying to invite international talent from all around the world. With its many immigration policies like foreign skilled workers, Canadian experience class and its extensive immigration targets, its also becoming the number one choice to immigrate to for people specifically from India and China.

My co-host Mugdha recently completed one year since immigrating to Canada on her own leaving behind her family, and a secured job.

I interviewed her to hear about her experience so far and what suggestions she might have for anyone thinking of immigrating to Canada.

Let me tell you a story. A small town Indian guy with years of hard work becomes one of the richest people in the world. He creates a business empire with multiple companies in various sectors.

His business was growing, and investors were happy. But suddenly one research report about his business hits the headlines accusing him of pulling off “the largest con in corporate history.”. This Indian guy, now a billionaire, loses half of his wealth within a span of days. Intrigued?

January 24th 2023 will be the date that Adani Enterprise will never forget.

People lost their family, apartment buildings and houses have literally been flattened. The situation in Turkey and Syria is heartbreaking. As more time passes, the chances of survival for those trapped in earthquake rubble is decreasing significantly. There is no doubt that Millennials are more educated than previous generations. A generation also known as Gen Y, are those born from 1980 to 1996. Most have a bachelor’s degree or higher. And more women in this age are in the workforce. So, what about the millennial generation of parents today? Every year, 82 percent of babies are born to millennial parents. Because of the prominence of the Internet, smartphones and social media, the way millennials parents research schools have also changed dramatically.

Research shows that more than 80% of all online searches begin with an unbranded term — such as “best preschool in Atlanta” — rather than their school’s name directly.

Why is it so? For a generation that is wiser than ever, is the need to provide an expensive school to their child a good idea? That too when many of the educated millennials are themselves suffering from joblessness.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” This is the second amendment in the constitution of the United States.

This short sentence has been the center of a lot of controversies. One might believe that one sentence can be interpreted in one way, but that's not the case with this sentence.

18K, 12k, 11k, 10k, 5k, 3.5k and 500. These numbers are not random, ask someone working in a white collar job right now. These numbers represent the total number of layoffs that have happened in top tech companies since the start of 2023.

Amazon, Google, Meta, the parent company of Facebook, all big tech giants have made job cuts blaming the current economic condition and an impending recession.

But what led to this mess? An industry which was booming and handing out huge salaries as recently as six months ago is suddenly on its knees.

This side came to the for-front in the first few days of the New Year when Ovidio Guzmán López, also known as "El Chapo’s son was arrested causing riots in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico.

El Chapo was arrested in 2016, and even after 7 years his name is associated with the riots that jolted Mexico this New Year.

In 1986, Vancouver, Canada completed 100 years, its centennial year. A city which was up until that time considered “sleepy”, suddenly was at the centre of everything. Something happened in 1986 that changed how people saw Vancouver. And that change was Expo-86.

The expo brought Vancouver to centre stage, but along with that it also brought with it decades long headache for residents of this West coast city. What was that headache? Leaky condo crisis.
