The Nicole Sandler Show

Today, Bernie Sanders officially endorsed Hillary Clinton as the Democratic nominee for president. Nicole checks in with author and Sanders supporter, Will Bunch. In hour two, author, activist and former Olympian Jules Boykoff gives us the political history of the Olympics, as we get ready for Rio.

Nicole is back from a forced day off due to a heart attack scare which wasn't a heart attack at all, but just might be lung cancer. It's all explained in the first hour. Sadly, that stuff is easier to explain than the madness in our world.

Plus Bernie Sanders delegate from FL21, Rick Neuhoff, was at the Democratic Party Platform meetings this weekend in Orlando and talked us through what happened.

More tomorrow...

Nicole Sandler with a quick look at today's news

Today we talked about power. From the cop with the gun killing black people to the members of Congress who keep gumming up the works and spending our money on wild goose chases when things don't go the way they want them to.

Driftglass is back, making his debut on the new show, and Howie Klein tells us what an awful job Paul Ryan is doing...

Another black man was killed by the police, this time in Baton Rouge Louisiana. Thankfully someone shot video of the killing so we know what happened. President Obama announced that instead of drawing down our troops in Afghanistan, he'll increase the levels to 8400 before he leaves office. Ever get the idea we're making the same mistakes over and over again?

Today, Tim Canova, the congressional candidate running to unseat Debbie Wasserman Schultz joined Nicole Sandler in studio. Luke Vargas called in from Rio where they're fighting Zika and preparing for the Olympics.
