The Nicole Sandler Show

It's crazy season, with gun nuts running rampant. Today, Nicole Sandler discusses the president's speech last night with media trainer & strategist Joel Silberman. And CAF's Dave Johnson joins in to talk about the legislation still pending in Obama's lame duck presidency.

Nicole is glad to see this week end. Julianna Forlano brought some cheer to the day as she's pregnant, and we now know she's got a little girl on the way!

Our Flashback Friday segment was from December 1996 at KSCA in Los Angeles with Emmylou Harris, Susannah Hoffs and Duncan Sheik who were all performing that night at our annual homeless benefit, "Gimme Shelter."  I started a second session, but the computer died, so we'll do that one next week.

Nicole recaps America's latest mass shooting, yesterday in San Bernardino, CA, where 14 people were killed and 17 others injured.  Vice News' Jason Leopold was on the scene, and  checks in with us this morning. Harvey J. Kaye returns to talk about the right wing politics of hate and fear. And Howie Klein will let us know which politicians are bought and paid for by the NRA, and more.

Today, Nicole turns our attention toward Paris where COP21 - the UN Conference on Climate change - is in full swing. Today,  Charles Komanoff of the Carbon Tax Center tells us about our need for a carbon tax and how he's working to get it through the Paris conference. Deborah Newell Tornello returns for another edition of Oy FloriDUH. Plus news, commentary and more informed opinion.

Nicole talks with American Atheists President David Silverman on the day his book, "Fighting God" is released. @GottaLaff joins in to talk about the rest of the news.
