Luna, her voice stolen by the ink, is submerged in the well of stolen voices as an ancient presence speaks the first story of the library through her. In the darkness, she finds the jar of her own voice, but the presence is not done with her yet. It drags her deeper, to the foundations of the library, where the original contract was carved into stone. There, Luna discovers the truth: the presence is the story itself, and it has been waiting for someone to finish what the first librarian began. With her own hand, she must write the final word, or remain trapped in the well forever. A descent into the origin of the library's curse, where every story is a trap, and the only way out is to become the teller.
