The Nii Lamptey Show

We can't really get going, can we?

It's a mildly gloomy podcast this time around as the Niis head into yet another break of fixtures, safe in the knowledge that Coventry City still haven't won a game this season.

In the words of Mark - it's embarrassing.

August was broadly rubbish. The Niis are aware of this.

However, we now have some flat grass to play on and the transfer window has finally SLAMMED SHUT... and we didn't lose any of the fancy players we thought we might.

Although we did lose lovely Dominic Hyam, who actually was one of the fancy players (even if he and many other people didn't realise it). That is ever such a shame. Stupid energy bills.

So, after a few games and an equal amount of losses, things aren't quite perfect. Let's break things down for you.

Here we are now, all the people.

Season 11 of The Nii Lamptey Show is upon us. Bet you thought you'd never hear from us again?

Well, you are incorrect. We are back for another season of very excellent Coventry City Football Club action and look forward to having you along for the ride.

Getting us going for 22/23, Joey, Paul, Neil and Dom focus their attentions on the crucial things: how things are shaping up for the squad with the new campaign just days away, and who has the most supporter points.

Balls to this! One week ago we were about to embark upon a flurry of potential play-off excitement... a week later it all feels pretty impossible again.

Not to worry. Joey, Neil and Dom are here to get you through, with all the great chats about two very different Easter games against Birmingham and Bournemouth.

Wooooooo. Check us right now. Battering the best in the league again. Nobody really predicted it, but we're going to enjoy it. What a performance.

Joey, Paul, Neil and Dom revel away in this latest episode of The Nii Lamptey Show, the greatest Lamptey Show of all time.

A lot of games have happened. A lot of games that we should/could have won.

The chaps are playing very well, and are once again the "best team" everyone seems to have faced.

Joey, Neil, Imogen and Dom dissect the Middlesbrough, Southampton and Blackpool matches and try to figure out why we're not battering everyone a million nil at the moment.

It wasn't too hot watching us fail to beat QPR, so it was very welcome to see us fail to not win against Stoke. The points are starting to tally up again. Joey, Dom and Imogen discuss. Happy New Year, kids and adults, etc.

Did you see us the other day, duffing somebody up? Been a while, but that was excellent to see. Specifically because we'd largely forgotten what 3 points (or playing league football) felt like.

Joey, Neil and Dom discuss this feeling alongside some rather eyebrow-raising decisions by Mark, which ultimately worked out wonderfully.

All the best.

So, he meant it... Really?

Yes. We're still talking about Toddy's goal.

We also talk about all those draws, but mainly, we talk about about how to re-establish ourselves in the play-offs, which is a nice little indicator of where we've come.

Also featuring Adi Viveash's bodyslam.

Listen.

Laurie's got a golden ticket.

We also did some ruddy good winning with ten men.

Enjoy your international break with a little bit of Lamptey.
