This week, our hosts Atheer Yacoub (@atheeryacoub) and Sabeen Sadiq (@sabeencomedy) chat with Somali-Canadian comedian and friend, Hoodo Hersi (@HoodoComedy). Hoodo just moved to New York and made her American TV debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers. She tells us what's it's like being the favorite child, growing up broke, and the similarities between parts of Canada and Texas. We also talk about makeup, reality TV, and celebrity gossip-- this episode has it all!

This week our lovely hosts Atheer Yacoub (@atheeryacoub) and Sabeen Sadiq (@sabeencomedy) chat with South African matchmaker Karmen Naidoo (@karmennaidoo) ! Karmen shares how she got to the US from South Africa and the wild process of assimilating to a whole new culture, while having limited resources. She tells us about meeting her devout Muslim African husband and navigating the cultural and religious differences between them. Karolena keeps us laughing hysterically while impersonating her mom and husband, who both seem to be good sports about her comedy! An added bonus is her helpful hints into naturally raising your dopamine by looking good to feel good.

TJ talks about leaving Haiti for New York when he was 19 and how he found his way into stand up comedy after quitting business school. He talks a lot about acceptance, shares his philosophies on life, and how he stays grounded while being a full time comedian.

This week, Atheer (@AtheerYacoub) and Sabeen (@SabeenComedy) chat with Chicago-based comedian, adoptee and ex-Mormon, Skyler Higley (@SkylerHigley). Skyler talks about growing up as a Black Mormon and eating the most bland food, but finding his way to Chicago and comedy. When Skyler isn't writing and acting in sketches, or producing comedy audio albums like Saltwater(check it out asap!),  he's performing stand up comedy nationwide. He used to write for Conan and is currently staffed at The Onion.

This week, Atheer (@AtheerYacoub) and Sabeen (@SabeenComedy) chat with comedian, model, and Southside youth social worker, Ontonio Kareem (@ontoniokareem). Ontonio shared how he went from getting his haircut at a barbershop to modeling for big names like Zara. He told us how stand up comedy become his next calling and we learned about his upbringing with a strict Muslim dad (who is in a gang -- WHAT) and non Muslim mom. We loved hearing Ontonio's story and so will you!
