Hustling for worthiness also involves comparing yourself to others. It’s logically impossible for everyone to become above average. As a black woman, “average” is being raised higher and higher. We have the highest number of new entrepreneurs and college graduates. Yet, we are still the lowest paid.
Self esteem is only available when we succeed and it leaves when we fail. That up and down affect is extremely damaging.
So I go for self- compassion instead. That’s how I got to the spiritual and mental space I’m in now and how I maintain peace despite situations, better than I did in the past.
