Thomas Rabies writes nonsense prose. It is not meant to be printed. It is meant to be heard, as he believes all literature should be. In this ongoing work, a single word can carry two or three…
In each episode he reads it out loud, which is what it was made for. Lines echo and bend. A phrase repeats with one letter changed and becomes its own pun. Place names fold in on themselves.
The subjects are small and local on purpose: everyday errands and minor upsets in a northern spa town. Nothing much happens, and that is the point. Said out loud, the ordinary business of the town starts to sound like a hymn or a litany.
It is all recorded in his spare room.
