In this episode, Endlessmidnightmoon and I cover the following:
1. How is writing serial fiction different from writing a regular novel?
2. What are the approaches that you would go for when writing serial fiction?
3. What sustains the interest in writing a series that lasts over a year?
4. Why was this series format chosen for "Beyond the Grey Skies," since writing is usually completed first then published?

I finally show Tete some clips from the movie, "Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Rebellion" and she's just blown away by how Homura's mental landscape is portrayed. There are many similarities to Joel from my graphic novel, "The Book of Joel."

In this episode, @tete.depunk and I talk about the similarities and differences between her character, Andrei, from her novel project "70 Fierce Years," and Clark Kent/Superman!
They are both pastoral types who are motivated by a sense of duty and want to spread happiness and positivity to the people around them.
To quote Tete, "Andrei's innocence is his real tragedy and horror, very much in the vein like Clark, since both are obstinacy in their innocence and refuse to capitulate to a world that demands conformity of jadedness, apathy, and the surrender to bitterness or corruption."
We also do some comparisons between Joel vs Clark, Sam vs Clark, and Joel vs Batman. Joel is the protagonist of my graphic novel, "The Book of Joel," and he is, in many ways, the complete opposite of Andrei and Clark. He is incredibly cynical and wants to make life uglier and more boring than it actually is because he thinks emotions are unreliable and painful.

Today, me and @tete.depunk talk about Mikhail Lermontov's poem, "The Demon," and how it reminds us of my graphic novel, "The Book of Joel." Tete was the first one who recognized this similarity. In particular, we focus on the similarities between the Demon and Joel and Tamara (from the poem) and Malka (from my work).

The next Tarot card in my Tarot Analysis series is my portrayal of Malka as The Empress!
Malka is one of the main characters of my @tapas_app graphic novel, "The Book of Joel," which you can read using my link in bio.
Read the full transcript of this video here.
The Empress is a very fitting card for her because the Empress symbolizes love, fertility, and abundance in all aspects. She represents the creation of life, romance, art, and creativity itself, all of which match Malka well since Malka is interested in art, likes sketching, and of course, is romantically involved with Joel. Unlike Joel, who thought that any kind of romantic or sexual attachment was pointless before he got closer to Malka, Malka has never thought of romantic feelings as pointless.
While she knows many couples, including her own parents, who are dysfunctional, she believes that it can be a great thing if the people involved are emotionally mature, responsible, and honest with each other (of course, a bit of luck is needed as well).

On today's episode of The Nuts and Bolts of Writing, we are comparing two of our protagonists, Aidan (from @helevorn_bor's "Sons of Disobedience" and "Tales from the North," the latter of which you can read here: https://tapas.io/series/Tales-from-the-North1) and Malka (from @fortunusgames 's "The Book of Joel," which you can read here: https://www.fortunusgames.com/current-projects)
We are analysing these characters in terms of their passion for art, their warm, passionate and empathetic approach to relationships, their attitudes towards romance, and the way in which their dysfunctional families affected them. In spite of their similarities, two differ greatly, and we're also exploring these aspects.
