The third video in my Tarot Explanation series!

Here’s a breakdown of the second card of the Major Arcana, The Magician.

I explain the symbolism behind it and why I chose Sam for my version of it (the Fortunus Games Tarot deck).  Sam is the main character from my @tapascommunity #graphicnovels, “Sam in New York” and “Finding Sam.”

Read “Finding Sam” for more information about how his parents see his desire to become an actor. Although “Finding Sam” isn’t canon, since it takes place in an alternative timeline, it’s a good approximation of how his parents will see his desire to become an actor and filmmaker later down the line.

In “Sam in New York,” we’re still looking at Sam’s childhood and he only starts talking about being a famous actor when he’s in university.

In this episode, @tete.depunk and I (@fortunusgames) talk about a book we've both read, "From Ancient Writings to Sacred Texts" by S.A. Nigosian.

We covered the following:

-How the book fleshed out Biblical texts and other Near Eastern ancient texts and mythos.

-How I first came across the book in university

-How @tete.depunk reacted to the book and how it presented a different worldview of Christianity than the version she had grown up with in a strict Protestant Christian (Charismatic) household.

-How @tete.depunk’s Andrei (protagonist of her novel, “70 Fierce Years”) loves him some Near Eastern mythology, such as The Epic of Gilgamesh.

We were soon joined by our friends, @helevorn_bor and @ryzacobalion, who appeared in the chat section with their awesome comments and questions!

In this episode, me and @endlessmidnightmoon will be talking about the writing style of her @tapas_app novel, “Beyond the Grey Skies”!  We'll be answering these questions:

1. How do you work on each character?

2. How do you keep them separate in terms of their Identity if they are in a family?

3. Why do professions seem to factor so much in each character?

4. What if they're in a family business?

5. How would you say that your characterization has changed over the years?
