Crystal Lake understood the assignment. Street Fighter? Man, we need to talk. 😂

Episode 108 of The Odd Nerd Podcast kicks off with Peacock's Friday the 13th prequel, Pamela Voorhees, young Jason, and why horror franchises might need more stories like this.

Then we're getting into what went wrong with Street Fighter, why the 1994 movie still deserves some respect, and DC's new Clayface movie.

I'm also breaking down VisionQuest Episodes 3–4, Ultron, Tony Stark's AI legacy, and where Marvel could be taking Vision next.

Then it's NBA time! Philadelphia impressed me, Anthony Edwards went crazy against Miami, and I've got some serious questions about these Golden State Warriors.

Movies, Marvel, horror, basketball, and a little nonsense along the way.

This episode starts with me getting used to something new: y’all really be in these comments MAD. 😂 The stronger the opinion, the crazier the conversation — and honestly, I’m starting to have fun with it.

Then we get into a real Odd Nerd debate: were we more spoiled during that ridiculous 2011–2013 television run, when Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Dexter, True Blood, Mad Men and more were all on at the same time… or are we living through the movie version of that right now in 2026?

From Project Hail Mary, The Odyssey and Spider-Man to horror, streaming movies, billion-dollar blockbusters and everything we’ve gotten before August is even over — 2026 has been STACKED.

So what era had it better: peak television then or this insane movie run now?

We are completely going off the rails this week, baby! I hop on the mic to break down why I had to go see Spider-Man: Brand New Day twice. We are diving deep into full major spoilers, so if you haven't seen the movie yet, consider this your official warning!

I also share the hilarious story of my totally odd private nerd movie screening of Spidey and why it was an absolute blast. From there, I randomly veer off course into how much us guys spend for each date and the wild average amount men shell out on dating every single year.

Expect zero filter, total tangents, and absolute chaos from start to finish. Hit follow, drop a review, and let’s talk shop!

In this episode of The Odd Nerd Podcast, I talk about losing 55 pounds while fasting 18 hours a day, what the weight loss journey has really felt like, and how my mindset has changed along the way.

Then things get random in the best way.

I get into a woman giving me her number at a coffee shop on a piece of paper with a note that said, “I like your face,” and why that kind of thing feels like it only happens to Michael B. Jordan, a Hemsworth, or somebody with superhero lighting following them around.

I also talk about the couple that climbed the Empire State Building and turned it into one of the wildest proposal stories I’ve seen, plus what that says about love, effort, and the current dating pool.

Then I close the episode with an 80s cult classic conversation about The Legend Of Billie Jean, why “Fair Is Fair” still hits, how it fits into the teen rebellion movie era, and why I think it’s an underrated cult classic that more people should talk about.

Weight loss, fasting, dating stories, viral love moments, and 80s movie culture… this episode went everywhere, but somehow it all made sense.

NASA is heading back to the moon, Dune 3 is on the way, and Marvel is loading up Doomsday — and somehow all of that turns into real conversations about everyday life.

In this episode, I break down the Artemis mission and what it really means to send people back into space, then get into Dune vs Marvel and how different those experiences really are.

I also talk about social media — knowing when to unfollow, what you actually want to see, and how to move smarter online.

It’s funny, honest, and a little all over the place — but that’s what makes it work.

Episode 100.

Started this one talking about work and how it keeps me young — but also how different things are now. The way people interact, approach each other, and move socially just isn’t the same. We really used to go outside with nothing but confidence and a pen and pad.

Then I get into everything else going on right now — from wild stories like cocaine being found in shrimp, to a bigger rant about how nothing really feels enjoyable the same way anymore.

I also touch on things like the military raising the age limit and what that says about where things are right now, along with a few other off-the-rails thoughts along the way.

Funny, real, and a little all over the place — but that’s Episode 100.

Rocky Point stories, solo moves, and real-life perspective.

In this episode, I break down a birthday trip to Rocky Point that turned into a mix of chaos, funny moments, and those “you had to be there” situations. From big group energy to unexpected moments, it was one of those weekends that makes you step back and think.

That leads into something bigger — doing things on your own. From solo coffee runs to going to events like Back To The Future in concert and planning WonderCon, I talk about not waiting on people and learning how to move on your own time.

I also get into how hard it can be to find your people, enjoying what you enjoy without needing validation, and why my scooter might be one of the best investments I’ve made lately.
