This is an audio version of our YouTube show. La Liga predictions & betting tips on Matchday 17. Hit ‘Subscribe’ above now to never miss our La Liga predictions and betting previews! We’re here give you the best odds and insight into Spanish football’s biggest matches this weekend across the Primera Division. It’s Matchday 17 of the 2020/21 campaign, so let’s get involved. We start 2021 with a bang in La Liga with el Gran Derbi between Real Betis and Sevilla. The Seville derby will be played at the Benito Villamarin, but Betis star Joaquin will miss out due to testing positive Covid-19 test. But this game has all the ingredients for fireworks. Also in action on Saturday is Villarreal and Levante. Villarreal are up in fourth but have hit a bit of a dodgy run in recent weeks. They’ll want to maintain their Champions League qualification hopes when they take on a Levante side currently 12th in the standings. Later on Saturday, we have Getafe – desperate to move away from the danger zone – against Real Valladolid – another side embroiled in a real battle for survival. Both sides are keen to start the new year with maximum points and really kick-start their campaign to give them real hopes of survival. Saturday evening closes with the defending champions Real Madrid at home to Celta Vigo. The visitors are one of La Liga’s form sides following a disappointing beginning to the season. The northerners are now up to eighth in the standings and are chasing European football for next season. Real, meanwhile, know that they need to keep winning if they’re to catch Atletico at the top of the table. Into Sunday, and we start in the Basque region as Athletic take on Elche. The visitors are struggling for league wins and currently sit 15th. Athletic, meanwhile, are mid-table and are keen to look up the table, rather than down, in 2021. The league leaders Atletico are away at Alaves later in the day, and we also have games between Eibar and Granada, and Real Sociedad and Osasuna to enjoy. Sunday’s evening action sees Barcelona on the road at bottom of the table Huesca. Ronald Koeman’s side have only won two league away games this season, and that will need to dramatically improve if they’re going to make a real challenge for top spot at any point in the upcoming six months until the end of the season. Finally, on Monday, the latest round of fixtures concludes when Valencia host Cadiz. Valencia are threatened by relegation. With just three league wins all season, Javi Gracia’s side are level on points with Valladolid and sit above the dropzone on goal difference. Eduardo Siles is once again in the hot seat for our Odds On: La Liga betting preview show. He is again joined by compatriot and amigo Alvaro Romeo to discuss all things Spanish football. They’re getting so competitive with their tips it’s like having Cristiano and Messi back together. They’re here to analyse, preview and dissect La Liga’s Matchday 17 action. We can verify that we certainly are on this end! We’ve got Premier League predictions and picks for every game in this festive period, so let’s get into it! Monday’s action starts in south Londona at Selhurst Park, as Crystal Palace entertain Leicester City. Palace have lost their last two games by a 10-0 aggregate scoreline. The Eagles are still 14th in the standings, but these results cannot continue under Roy. Frank Lampard’s Blues are at home to Aston Villa later in the afternoon, with Chelsea hitting some inconsistencies in December having won two and lost three of their previous five games. Monday’s action is rounded off with Manchester City’s trip to Goodison Park. The Toffees are second in the division and could top the table, should they beat Pep Guardiola’s side by an 11-goal swing. It could happen. Maybe. Into Tuesday, and we’ve got five games to enjoy. Brighton are at home to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal; that’s a real relegation six-pointer(!) Europe’s worst side (statistically proven) Sheffield United make the trip to Turf Moor to take on fellow strugglers Burnley. At the same time, Southampton host West Ham at St. Mary’s Stadium. We’ve got a real clash of styles at the Hawthorns, as Sam Allardyce’s West Brom welcome Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United. Can Big Sam start the Baggies’ survival here? Tuesday’s action is rounded off with Manchester United’s clash with Wolves. The Red Devils are up to 4th in the table and are now just five points off top spot. The final game of Matchday 16 is on Wednesday, as Tottenham welcome Fulham to north London. Jose Mourinho’s side have fallen off dramatically in recent weeks and are without a win in four league games. Due to that, Spurs have now dropped to 5th. Spursy. The final game of MD16 sees defending champions Liverpool play Newcastle at St. James' Park. Our resident host Eduardo Siles is once again joined by football broadcaster and writer Tom Williams to work their way through another busy and hectic Premier League weekend on Matchday 16. We’re here give you the best odds and insight into Spanish football’s biggest matches this weekend across the Primera Division. It’s Matchday 16 of the 2020/21 campaign, so let’s get involved. It’s Christmas! And that can only mean one thing: lots and lots of Spanish football for us to enjoy. We start on the Sanchez-Pizjuan with Sevilla’s match against Villarreal. Julen Lopetegui’s side have won three of their last four in the league and ae up to sixth. They’ve only scored 15 goals in 13 games and they now face a Villarreal side currently in fourth folloing a fine start to the campaign. Barcelona continue the festivities. The Blaugrana are at home to Eibar and are now much closer to the leading pack after a four-game unbeaten run that includes three wins. Eibar, meanwhile, are down in 15th. Afterwards on Tuesday night, we’ve got Cadiz against Real Valladolid. Cadiz will be eager to end 2020 on a high to cement a wonderful calendar year for the Yellow Submarine. Following promotion this summer, they now sit 10th in the Primera. Valladolid are in the bottom three, but a win here could move them up to 10th themselves! At the same time we also have Levante facing Real Betis. Into Wednesday’s match action, and we start with Granada against Valencia. The Andalusian’s are 7th in the standings after back-to-back victories, whilst Javi Gracia’s side are down in 13th with just 15 points to their name. Los Che have not won a league game since beating Real Madrid and have just one win in 11 La Liga matches. Ouch. Leaders Atletico Madrid are also playing on Wednesday. Diego Simeone’s men play host to Madrid’s little brother Getafe at the Wanda. Atletico have a superb head-to-head record against their inner-city rivals and will be keen to glean all three points to secure their position at the summit until the start of the new year. Celta Vigo have hit fine form under new boss Eduardo Coudet, having won four league games on the bounce to lift the northerners into 8th position and now have their eyes set on European qualification. They face La Liga’s bottom club Huesca. Later that evening, the defending champions take to the field, as Real Madrid travel to play Elche. Zinedine Zidane’s men have also won four games in succession and currently sit three points off top spot having played an extra game. We go into New Year’s Eve with two matches to look forward to. The first is a Basque derby, as Atheltic Bilbao host out of form Real Sociedad, before Osasuna welcome Alaves to Pamplona. It’s a busy one, but we wouldn’t have it any other way! They’re here to analyse, preview and dissect La Liga’s Matchday 16 action. This is an audio version of our YouTube video. Bundesliga predictions and betting tips on Matchday 14. Hit ‘Subscribe’ above to make sure you never miss our Bundesliga previews! It’s Matchday 14 of the German top-flight 2020/21, and we’re looking forward to some more classic encounters between the cream of the crop in Germany. It’s 2021 and we’re still got a title challenge to look forward to in the Bundesliga. The winter break will have done the players a great chance to come back refreshed. We certainly are, so let’s get back into it! First up, Borussia Monchengladbach go in desperate search of maximum points when they face relegation threatened Arminia Bielefeld. Gladbach haven’t won in four games and they’re now down to eighth. The Champions League side have an uphill task if they want to reach the promised land once again in 2020/21. Bayer Leverkusen ended 2020 with a defeat to defending champions Bayern Munich, knocking them off top spot. They could move back to the summit with a win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday. Cologne have slowly been picking up points in recent weeks and now have a five-point gap to the bottom two spots. This week they play Augsburg, a side with just one win in their previous five league games. In another game at the same time, Werder Bremen, who ended a run of four straight defeats last time out, are at home to surprise package Union Berlin. Elsewhere, Hoffenheim, 12th in the standings, welcome Freiburg (10th) to the village of Sinsheim. Freiburg have won three straight and are one of the division’s leagues sides after drawing their two games prior. Schalke are still without a win after 13 games. It’s getting a little bit awkward, isn’t it? This time out, they’ll try to get three points against Hertha Berlin at the Olympiastadion. Finally, on Saturday, RB Leipzig will aim to get their title charge back on track when they go to Stuttgart. Julian Nagelsmann’s side are just two points off Bayern at the top, and a win on Saturday evening would move them into prime spot to continue their charge into the second half of the campaign. Into Sunday, and we have two matches to enjoy. First, Borussia Dortmund host Wolfsburg, and then Bayern Munich welcome Mainz. Dortmund have looked proper shaky in recent weeks, having won just one of their last five games, losing on three occasions. Meanwhile, defending champions Bayern won’t face stiff competition when Mainz come calling. The visitors have won once in 13 games. That’s where the action ends on Matchday 14. As always, Eduardo Siles is joined by our resident German football and betting expert Radek Vegas to discuss every single game in another busy weekend across the Bundesliga. We’re here give you the best odds and insight into Spanish football’s biggest matches this weekend across the Primera Division. It’s Matchday 15 of the 2020/21 campaign, so let’s get involved. It’s another extremely busy week of continental football across Europe and this time we’re starting with Tuesday’s action in Alicante. Elche host strugglers Osasuna at the Martinez Valero. The visitors are stuck to the bottom of the table after falling four games on the bounce. There are six games on Tuesday, with Sevilla heading to the Mestalla to face Valencia. Javi Gracia’s side have failed to win any of their previous five games, drawing four. Huesca sit 19th in the table, they play host to Levante.
Then we’ve got the biggie: Real Sociedad vs Atletico Madrid. Diego Simeone’s side sit at the top of the tree heading into Christmas. Rojiblancos head to the Basque Country to play early-season pace setters Real Sociedad. But it’s been a disappointing turn of form since we’ve moved into the latter end of the year. Sociedad are eight games without a win in all competitions. Also on Tuesday, Barcelona will be looking to continue their resurgence and rise up the table when they face Real Valladolid. Barca have won three of their last five games to move up to 5th, and they’re not just eight points off top spot. Elsewhere, Unai Emery’s Villarreal will welcome Athletic Bilbao. The Yellow Submarine have looked good this season and are up in 4th in the standings. Into Wednesday, and we start in Madrid, as Getafe play Celta Vigo. Getafe are safe in midtable at this point, whilst Celta are the Primera Division’s form side, having won four league games in succession.
Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid will entertain Granada, with Los Blancos equal on points with fierce rivals Atletico at the summit. Their visitors, meanwhile, have impressed fans this season and are up to 6th. Later that evening, Real Betis will welcome Cadiz to the Benito Villamarin. Manuel Pellegrini’s Green and Whites haven’t hit the form expected this season, with Betis down in 12th. Finally, La Liga’s Matchday 15 action is rounded out when Alaves takes on Eibar, with the hosts looking to move themselves away from danger at the foot of the table.
Eduardo Siles is once again in the hot seat for our Odds On: La Liga betting preview show. He is again joined by compatriot and amigo Alvaro Romeo to discuss all things Spanish football. This is an audio version of our YouTube show. Hit ‘Subscribe’ above to make sure you never miss our Premier League betting previews! No Friday night football this week in the English top-flight, so we go straight into Saturday. We start with the early kick-off in south London as Liverpool face Crystal Palace. Under former boss Brendan Rodgers, this game ended the Reds’ title challenge when the Eagles overcame the odds to draw 3-3 after being 3-0 down at the break. Will there be another Crystanbul this Saturday? Don’t judge us, but we kinda hope so. Southampton won’t make life easy for Pep Guardiola’s men when Manchester City come to St. Mary’s. The Saints have performed admirably this season and currently sit 3rd in the table! Superb. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men are four points clear of City but find themselves six places higher up. It’s been a pretty crazy season. A former fan favourite at Goodison Park, Mikel Arteta will be hoping Everton do him a favour when the Arsenal go to Liverpool on Saturday. The Spaniard is in serious trouble, with the Gunners languishing down in 15th. They haven’t won a league game since beating Manchester United on the 1st November. They have also scored fewer goals than Fulham. Wow. Saturday’s action is rounded-off with Fulham’s trip north to St. James’ as they play Steve Bruce’s Newcastle. Into Sunday, and we start with bottom side Sheffield United’s trip to the south coast to play Brighton. Will they remain on 1 point for the rest of the season? Seriously, lads. The Leicester go the new White Hart Lane to face Tottenham (no longer sitting pretty at the top). This very much feels like a game Jose will end up winning, no matter what the Foxes throw at Spurs. Is this the fiercest rivalry in English football? Manchester United host Leeds United at Old Trafford. We can’t wait for that one on Sunday afternoon before the Black Country clash between West Brom and Aston Villa. Big Sam is back in the hot seat at the Hawthorn’s and is determined to keep them up! Finally, on Monday we have two games to enjoy. 5.30pm kick-off on a Monday is awful timing for a football match, but anyway… Burnley welcome Wolves to Turf Moor. Matchday 14 ends with West Ham’s trip to Chelsea. The Hammers could cause serious problems for Frank Lampard’s Blues. We reckon a defeat by David Moyes’ side here could effectively end Chelsea’s thin title hopes. What a weekend of football! Our resident host Eduardo Siles is once again joined by football broadcaster and writer Tom Williams to work their way through another busy and hectic Premier League weekend on Matchday 13. Bundesliga predictions and betting tips on Matchday 13. Hit ‘Subscribe’ above to make sure you never miss our Bundesliga previews! It’s Matchday 13 of the German top-flight 2020/21, and we’re looking forward to some more classic encounters between the cream of the crop in Germany. All the big dogs are back in action, and we’ve got a top of the table clash to get out teeth stuck into ahead of the annual winter break. Here we go! Friday night’s Bundesliga action starts with surprise package Union Berlin at home to Borussia Dortmund. The capital’s second club has stunned many opponents this season and currently sit seventh in the standings after 12 matches. The minnows have only won one of their previous five matches and face a tough test when the rejuvenated Dortmund come to Berlin. Into Saturday, and Champions League Last-16ers Borussia Monchengladbach host Hoffenheim. The visitors have lost their previous two matches, whilst Borussia have drawn four of their previous five league games in a busy schedule. Then we come to a proper relegation scrap, as winless (you know about this) Schalke host Arminia Bielefeld. These two clubs are 18th and 16th in the standings. Not very nice.
Mainz, 17th in the league, will entertain Werder Bremen at the same time on Saturday. Werder are on a shocking run, having lost all their previous four games. RB Leipzig are also playing. They welcome Cologne to the Red Bull Arena, looking to continue their title mount against their opponents down in 15th. Bundesliga’s most mid-table sides are also meeting. Augsburg are 9th, and Eintracht Frankfurt are in 10th as we reach the midway point of the German campaign. Eintracht have been unfortunate with a couple of their results this season and probably deserve to be higher up the table.
Saturday’s action ends with the game of the weekend as leaders Leverkusen play defending champions Bayern Munich. Leverkusen are yet to be beaten in the league, winning four of their previous five domestic matches to lift themselves to the summit of the division. Bayern have faced European distractions and have stuttered recently with three draws from their most recent five games. Into Sunday and we’ve got two matches to enjoy. Freiburg welcome capital club Hertha Berlin to Schwarzwald-Stadion. It’s another close tie, with the clubs situated in 11th and 12th in the league table. The Bundesliga action is rounded off for this week as Wolfsburg play Stuttgart. This has all the ingredients for a superb game.
As always, Eduardo Siles is joined by our resident German football and betting expert Radek Vegas to discuss every single game in another busy weekend across the Bundes. We’re here give you the best odds and insight into Spanish football’s biggest matches this weekend across the Primera Division. It’s Matchday 14 of the 2020/21 campaign, so let’s get involved. It’s another extremely busy week of continental football across Europe and this time we’re starting with Friday action in the north of the country. Athletic Bilbao host strugglers Huesca at San Mames. The visitors actually moved off the bottom of the table last time out with a 1-0 win over Alaves. Into Saturday, Atletico will look to firm up their title challengers when host Elche at the Wanda, then it’s time for Barca to take to the field. Ronald Koeman’s side play Real Sociedad on Wednesday as we upload this video. Will this game prove to be another dent into their recovery? Or will they secure a vital three points against the current leaders? Levante actually face Sociedad at home later the evening, whilst Villarreal – who have drawn four games in a row - go to Liga’s bottom club Osasuna. The Pamplona club have won three games this season but find themselves at the foot of the table. Hardly fair! We wrap up Saturday’s play as Sevilla host Real Valladolid. After Saturday is Sunday. We start in the north, with Celta at home to Alaves. The Galician club have got their mojo back and they’re out the relegation zone and moving up the table with three wins on the bounce. After that, we’ve got the Andalusian derby to enjoy when Real Betis head to Los Carmenes. Cadiz, who currently sit seventh in the standings after a bright start, play Getafe on Sunday afternoon. The visitors have failed to win any of their previous seven league games, with their last win coming against Barcelona towards the end of October. Matchday 14 of La Liga is wrapped up on Saturday evening when Real Madrid go on their travels to the Basque country to face Eibar. Zinedine Zidane’s side have gone on a three-game winning run and have moved themselves into third spot, level on points with the leaders. It’s another big week of Spanish football! Eduardo Siles loves his Spanish football as much as he loves presenting this show (loads). Premier League predictions, picks, tips and best odds on Matchday 13. Hit ‘Subscribe’ above to make sure you never miss our Premier League betting previews! Our Matchday 13 betting tips are here for tonight’s action, so you better get them quick. We’ve got some brilliant games to analyse ahead of this week’s midweek action, including a vital top of the table clash between Liverpool and Spurs! Let’s get into the show. There are two matches for us to enjoy on Tuesday night, with Frank Lampard’s Chelsea heading to Molineux to face Wolves, and Manchester City hosting struggling West Brom at the Etihad. There’s no Champions League football for us to enjoy but this is a midweek treat, that’s a certainty! On Wednesday, Mikel Arteta will be hoping/begging/pleading that his Arsenal side are able to find their form and end their torrid run of result when Southampton head to the Emirates. The Gunners have dropped to 15th in the table after recording no league wins since their 1-0 victory over Manchester United at the start of November.
Elsewhere, Leicester welcome Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton to the King Power. The Foxes have the opportunity to temporarily move to the top of the table. That would spice up the title race, with the top two in action later in the evening. Leeds United host Newcastle at Elland Road, with neither side in particularly shining brightly this season. We also have Fulham and Brighton going head-to-head at Craven Cottage, a game that could prove important come the end of the season in May. This is a decent opportunity for Scott Parker’s side to earn some breathing space to the bottom three. West Ham, surprising many in sixth spot, entertain Crystal Palace at the Olympic Stadium on the back of the Eagles’ 1-1 draw with Spurs last time out. Finally, Wednesday’s Premier League action is wrapped up with Tottenham’s trip to Anfield to take on their closest title challengers, Liverpool. On Thursday, Aston Villa will be hoping to re-find their form when Burnley head to Villa Park. Then, Europe’s worst side (statistically speaking, among the big-five league) Sheffield United will be visited by Man Utd. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer isn’t going to suffer further humiliation at Bramall Lane, is he? Our resident host Eduardo Siles is once again joined by football broadcaster and writer Tom Williams to work their way through another busy and hectic Premier League weekend on Matchday 13. Will this weekend’s results prove significant in deciding who will win the Bundesliga? Only time will tell, so let’s get into it. What a weekend of football we saw on Matchday 11! Lucien Favre sacked by Borussia Dortmund after their 5-1 thumping by Stuttgart. Leverkusen move to the top of the table. Union hold off Bayern to grab a point! Cologne move three points clear at the bottom. Schalke don’t win. Oh, wait… This week’s action begins on Tuesday. Lucky us. We’ve got four matches to get out teeth sunk into. It starts in Frankfurt, as Eintracht entertain Borussia Monchengladbach, fresh from their Champions League qualification from Group B – coined the Group of Death. Last weekend’s big winners, Stuttgart, face another of last weekend’s success stories, Union Berlin. Both clubs have stunned the German top-flight in 2020, with the clubs sitting sixth and seventh in the standings. Borussia Dortmund will be eager to bounce back from their humiliating defeat last time out. A result that ultimately ended Favre’s reign as BVB boss. The Black and Yellow have the players to mount a serious title challenge, but are languishing down in fifth, six points off top spot. In a season where Bayern aren’t running away with it, Dortmund must strike. Tuesday’s action is rounded off by Mainz’s trip to the capital to face Hertha, whom held Gladbach to a 1-1 draw on Saturday. Into Wednesday, bottom side Schalke will again go in search of a win. It’s getting quite boring expecting the Gelsenkirchen side to break their torrid run. It’s the second-longest winless streak in the history of the Bundesliga. Surely they can’t top Tasmania 31-game winless run? A record that no-one wants to see broken. Julien Nagelsmann’s RB Leipzig will also be challenging for top spot this year. They go to Hoffenheim on Wednesday evening. Their fiercest challengers, and title defenders, Bayern Munich host surprise-package Wolfsburg at the same kick-off time. Elsewhere, Arminia Bielefeld host Augsburg, and table toppers Leverkusen travel to Cologne. They’ll know what is required to maintain their position at the summit.
