The Official Wolves Podcast

Wolves just lost to Girona - but there’s a lot more to this team than the scoreline shows.

On this week’s Wolves Unpacked, James Bird and Dave Edwards break down pre-season progress, why Wolves finally feel like they’re building from a solid foundation, and what new signings Jhon Arias, David Møller Wolfe and Fer Lopez could bring to the side. Dave also explains the homegrown quota for listeners (and James), and lifts the lid on whether pre-season results really matter.

Plus: why Wolves might just be favourites heading into the season opener against Man City.

On this week’s episode of Wolves Unpacked, James Bird, Editor-in-Chief of Mundial magazine, and Wolves legend Dave Edwards tackle the big summer question: What does Vítor Pereira need to address ahead of next season?

Following back-to-back defeats after a six-game winning streak, the lads take a level-headed look at the reality check Wolves have received and what it’s revealed about the squad’s limits. From Brighton’s clever tactical setup and effective man-marking, to the visible signs of fatigue creeping in for the first time under Vítor, it’s a timely conversation on where the team must evolve.

James and Dave dive into how Wolves can improve tactically and which key positions need strengthening in the summer transfer window. With Pereira’s controlled, high-intensity style at the heart of recruitment strategy, the duo explore what is required.

Dave also shares from his experience why bringing in an older head can be invaluable to the dressing room, and they both weigh up the huge challenge of replacing Matheus Cunha’s influence should the unthinkable happen. Plus, James asks Dave to reveal which signing he feels would be the most important, and the answer may surprise you.

This is a must-listen for any Wolves fan looking ahead to a pivotal summer at Molineux.
