Season One, Episode 8: Two Yuletide stories this month. The first is an actual letter from American writer Samuel Clemens (aka Mark Twain) to his beloved daughter Susie (March 19, 1872 – August 18, 1896). She was the second child and oldest daughter. Sam was heartbroken when Susie died of spinal meningitis at age twenty-four.

Interview: Elaine Muray, an Albuquerque based Storyteller who often blends her stories with graceful & evocitive movement. Her story for the podcast is about her father & a very special Christmas friend of the family.

The second story is one of how some Busted Flushers responded to an unexpected need of some accidental Christmas Eve visitors.

First is Cherokee Code Talker & World War One soldierJoseph Oklahombi. The Busted Flush story is about a man named Walter, rejected for armed service, but served in the way he could.

Guest: Ming Diaz. On this episode, Old Father Williams (George A. Williams) tells a story about a pesky third cat on Noah's Ark, & a story from his "Busted Flush, Oklahoma" series about the town's newspaper owner/editor, called "Lee, of The Gazette."

Guest: Jason Witter. In this episode, "Old Father Williams" (George Williams) tells a tale of old called "King John & The Abbott," which follows the "rule of three" seen in many folktales, & one of his favorite stories about Busted Flush Oklahoma -  "The Corn Booth."
