Minute twelve begins with a flashback to Helen Kimble dialing 911 to get help. Richard Kimble finds a note and wine, heads for the bedroom. The 911 dispatcher tries to get details from Helen while we see Richard and the jury listening in the courtroom. The last thing we see is Richard climbing the stairs and finding a scarf on the railing, while the dispatcher's voice is still heard.

Minute eleven picks up in the courtroom with the prosecutor outlining his case, with continued flashbacks to the night of her murder. The detectives take the stand to give evidence. Richard is seen in flashback returning home while Helen tries to call 911 and then is hit in the head from behind. A doctor on the stand tells the court that it took less than five minutes for her to die.

In minute ten, Dr. Kimble is horrified and outraged that the detectives believe he killed his wife. He tells them to find the one-armed man while they barrage him with questions about this mysterious intruder. An officer outside says "book him" and then we cut to the trial of Dr. Richard Kimble, with a brief flashback to Helen Kimble's attack.

Minute nine answers the question of gun ownership. We then see multiple people watching the interview and reviewing the multiple bits of evidence that point to Kimble as the murderer. Return to the questioning, where we find out that Helen comes from money, is insured, and Kimble is the beneficiary. Dr. Kimble asks if they believe he killed his wife.

Minute 8 continues the questioning by the detectives, and we first hear about a fight with a one-armed man. Kimble gives answers and is obviously upset. A detective says that the security system is pretty good, asks if anyone else has access. He then asks if Kimble owns a gun and Dr. Kimble confirms that he does. Is it registered in Kimble's name? We will have to find out in Minute 9.

Minute seven returns us to the interview room where there is still silence. We then go to the flashback of Kimble in the operating room, getting an update on the patient he begins to operate on. Dr. Lentz (David Darlow) is mentioned, who we met very briefly at the fundraiser. We then go back to the present in the interview room where the two detectives take turns asking questions about Kimble's life.

Minute six begins with Kimble flashing back to a conversation with Helen in their car. The phone rings and he is called to assist with surgery at the hospital. Helen says she will wait up for him. We return to Kimble in the present as a second detective enters the room with two mugs of coffee.

Minute five begins where we left off in four, with Kimble shaking hands at the fundraising event. We follow him as he makes his way through the ballroom, talking to friends and colleagues as he goes. We are introduced to Dr. Charles Nichols (Jeroen Krabbé), who returns the keys to a car borrowed from Richard. Helen Kimble is rescued from an uncomfortable conversation by her husband, and she appreciates it as she was down to her last joke. We end the minute in the present, in a police interview room with no dialogue. The last of the credits continue with director of photography.

Minute four shows us Richard Kimble being led out of his home by two detectives in trench coats. A journalist begins his report with exposition about what has happened to Helen Kimble and tells the audience that they had been at a fundraiser that evening. The minute ends with the beginning of a flashback to that event, Kimble in a tux and meeting people. Credits continue with co-producers, editors, and production design.

Minute three begins with a Chicago police van drivng down a street and stopping at what looks like a crime scene. Inside the apartment, photos are being taken (shown in negative) of the deceased woman. Police detectives come down the stairs and hand a coat to a distraught Richard Kimble, who has blood on his clothes and neck. He puts the coat on and walks away. No one has spoken. Credits continue with casting by Amanda Mackey and Cathy Sandrich, costume designer Aggie Guerard Rodgers, and music by James Newton Howard.
