Puzzle solving continues in minute ninety-two, and Kimble has just found a big piece. He leaves the phone off the hook to make sure Deputy Sam and his team come to Sykes' apartment to investigate. Kimble goes outside and evades the arriving law enforcement. Inside, fingerprints and photographs are being taken and Sam stands in Sykes' closet as Poole turns on the light.

The front page of minute ninety-one finds Biggs continuing to read the article in the Chicago-Sun Times, and Sam is disturbed by referring to Kimble a "lad." Meanwhile a woman enters the room to tell Sam that they have Kimble on the phone, apparently not the first to claim to be him. Sam takes the phone and immediately realizes he's talking to the real deal. They start to trace the call while Sam and Kimble exchange words. Sam says he is not trying to solve a puzzle, to which Kimble replies "well I am trying to solve a puzzle and I just--"

He finds one photo with a familiar face, of someone he met at the fundraiser on the night of Helen's murder, and replays that meeting in his head. Minute eighty-eight is a turning point as Kimble wanders through the apartment and finally finds a photo of the one-armed man. He has found his guy! He continues to be nosey, interspersed with flashbacks to their struggle on the night of Helen's murder, finally ending up at Frederick Sykes desk and looking at photos.

We break and enter into minute eighty-seven with Kimble walking down the alley behind the patient's apartment. He climbs up a fire escape, breaks a window, kicks out some wooden bars, and enters the apartment. He wanders through, scouting the location.

Minute eighty-six gives us a very brief glimpse of Richard Kimble outside of his motel before we cut to a police helicopter flying over Chicago. In a bar, Kimble uses a payphone to call another patient on his list while drinking a Bud. There's no answer. Kitty corner to the bar, Kimble spots a Detective Stereotype coming out of a store and getting into a car with his purchase. They are staking out the patient's home. Kimble turns around then crosses the street to go down an alley.

Questions fly in minute eighty-five as the press conference continues. Deputy Sam is his usual charming self, not having much comment on anything except that he never presumed that Kimble was dead. Detective Kelly, a walking stereotype, continues to be pleasant and unbiased. Deputy Sam has no further comments at this time. Meanwhile, Kimble exits a Men Only Motel, having changed clothes.

We parade through minute eighty-four as Sam and Henry continue to search the sidelines and through the parade participants. Kimble sees Sam closing in so removes his green coat to reveal a navy blue hoodie instead. With Sam only a few feet behind him, Kimble veers off to the side and into the crowd and Sam has lost him, no matter how much he jumps up and down. Meanwhile back at US Marshal highrise HQ, we begin a press conference.

Biggs and his team spot Kimble crossing the plaza in minute eighty-three and point Deputy Sam and Marshal Henry in his direction. Kimble comes across the Saint Patrick's day parade, finds a green hat in a trash can, dons it and joins the parade. Sam moves his red scarf aside to show his badge, then searches for Kimble in carriages and the like in the parade, while KImble joins a random group and wanders on.
