Here we are—the last major championship of the year, “The Open” championship as we know it. Today on Chasin’ Birdies, it’s the open mic drop as we get into golf talk, the final major of the year, and hear from a legend in Rocco Mediate as he drops by the show to share a few of his thoughts.

We banter for the first few minutes in typical fashion. We turn our focus over to Royal Portrush (which we both played in 2022) and discuss our betting picks. Can McIlroy get it done in Northern Ireland? Is it going to be another US Open where the underdog prevails? We dive into all this and more. 

When Rocco joins, we get into the talk between the players and the media. He tells us his thoughts often comparing what Mr. Palmer would do. We circle back to the AWFUL ruling Sam Burns got at the US Open, and who he thinks can take it down in Northern Ireland.
