God was always faithful to the children of Israel the same way He is faithful to you. God will save His children to the uttermost, not partially, or sometimes, or in some areas, but to the uttermost. God saves you to the uttermost and also promises that there’s nothing that can separate you from the love of God. When you are attacked by the enemy you must stand firm on these promises.

Pastor David will be teaching us the importance of understanding that God is for us, not against us. Trust and faith are not blind, they’re based on knowledge and understanding of God’s word given by the Holy Spirit, as well as the experience of God coming through for you in the past. If you don’t understand the greatness and power of who God is, then it may be hard for you to understand how God is for you, not against you. Reflect back on His faithfulness and renew your mind.

Today Pastor David will be continuing his teaching on how you as a believer are secure in His victory. The Lord is sovereign over all the circumstances in your life. He will work all things together for good. God is going to work in ways that you will not be pleased with, ways that you don’t understand, and in ways that you won’t have the answer for. You have to trust and know that God is working those things out for your good. You may not know how or why until you are on the other side of eternity.

Do you believe that God is still actively involved in your life while you are going through trials? God is sovereign over all the earth and creation, and over all your issues and your trials. Your promise is that the Lord will work together for good through those trials you’re going through.

As Pastor David continues through Romans he will be teaching us the importance of looking forward to the second coming of Christ. When Christ returns He will take us to be with Him and will redeem, not only as believers, but He will redeem the earth. Creation itself is groaning, waiting for the Lord to bring redemption. We are still at the orphanage, waiting to be officially adopted and taken home. Those who have this hope in the coming of Christ keep themselves pure, just as Christ is pure.

As Pastor David continues to teach us through Romans we will be learning that God requires us to give up our lives that we may be more like Christ. Christ said, “If anyone desires to come after Me they must deny themselves, take up their cross and follow Me.” We must have a humility in order to deny ourselves, we must be willing to suffer in the flesh for Christ’s sake. Christ wants us to take up our cross and follow Him. If the Spirit is not in control of our life then the flesh will have full control.
