In this episode of the podcast and to celebrate 12 years since Oxford United we're promoted back to the football league at Wembley we've got a little bit of a difference guest.
He’s a footballer that has played almost 700 professional games including 3 for Englands National C Team. He scored the first and second goals for an English club at the new Wembley stadium for Kidderminster Harriers in a 3-2 defeat to Stevenage Borough is Oxford United’s unofficial club record goal scorer, scored 100 goals for Oxford, scored the 2nd goal in the 3 - 1 2010 conference premier play off final. He’s UEFA B licensed football coach, most recently played as player coach for Banbury United and is now the Water Works Manager for Hill Groundwork’s. Ladies and gentlemen it’s Oxford United legend and all round nice guy Mr James "Beano" Constable.
In this mid season finale (of sorts) we speak to Ashley Jones MBE. Ash is the host and creator of The Chaps Guide. A YouTube channel with over 8,000 subscribers. I've been a fan of the channel for quite some time since discovering Ash has a love of traditional wet shaving and his content is without doubt interesting and unique. It's not every day you get to speak to an MBE either!
In episode 4 we are talking to Ben Winestone from Shave It Shave Co in Canada. Ben and his dad produce hand turned one of a kind razors focusing on quality over quantity. They also have a range of shaving soaps, and have recently started producing razor and pen sets. There's more to Ben than meets the eye and there's certainly more to the company than you would expect.

In this episode of The Opinionated Brit Podcast I speak to Shane Swatzlander who the the founder and driving force behind Blackland Razors. We talk cars, Kickstarter and copycat companies.
This was a really interesting episode and was great to speak to a hardware manufacturer in such a competitive market. Thanks goes out to Shane for taking the time to talk to me.
Welcome back!
The first episode of season 3 brings you closer to the man behind the much loved shaving and grooming brand Ariana and Evans, Peter Charkalis. Listen to find out how Peter has become one of the most well known and well respected artisans in the industry.
We've saved a great pod for the final episode of season 2. We are talking to non other than Will Carius from the world renowned artisan Barrister and Mann, but who is Will? We talk to him about all things shaving, how the brand started, his love of unique scent profiles and find out about his love for all things canine.
This was a great episode and my thanks has to go out to Will for taking the time out to record this with me. If there's any particular home brewers, artisans, or just someone you want me to talk to in season 3 then let me know.
In this, the second attempt to record this episode we talk to Kerry Burrows, 1 half of the UK artisan Phoenix and Beau.
We talk about the Burrow's journey to starting the brand, what Kerry does for a job and ask him some of those difficult (and sometimes strange) quickfire questions. Most importantly though and the real reason people listen to the podcast, we find out how Kerry does on the beat the intro music quiz. Enjoy!
Believe it or not this is the first episode where I talk to an artisan from the wet shaving world, and it was a great one to start with.
I talk to Heather Melton from Zingari Man. Want to know where the brand name comes from? why Heather doesn't create in the house anymore?, or most importantly how she got on with the beat the intro music quiz? then this is the place to be. Sit back, grab a coffee and enjoy this episode of The Opinionated Brit Podcast.
This week we talk to the man behind Flagship Pomade and arguably the creator of the first UWB pomade Wade "Cody" Branson.
We talk about working at NASA, making products for others and find out whether he would want butterflies, or an angry squirrel to appear
