Polyamory: The philosophy or state of being where one is romantically involved with more than one person at a time. There is a movement/idea within the community to use the shorthand "PolyA" instead of "Poly" to avoid confusion with Polynesian people.

Misgender (verb): Referring to a person using a word or pronoun that does not reflect their personal gender identity. "My teacher misgendered me today so I corrected them - I hope in the future they use my preferred pronouns."
