The Organised Family by Stuck on You

In the final episode of the second season of The Organised Family, we're all about the real-life relatable stories of raising children in this day and age. We chat with Steph Pase, from Just Another Mummy Blog, and she discusses how she started sharing her story when she became isolated and lonely as the first mother in her group of friends.

Steph is all about keeping it real, and so she passes on stories about the hard times of being a parent-like post-natal depression, anxiety, and the danger of comparing yourself to others, particularly in the world of social media. But she also provides great insights into self-care and how we can be better organised as families these days.

This time on The Organised Family we chat with Dale Vines, landscape gardener and former contestant on The Block. Enthusiastic about natural spaces, he explains how he and his wife have set up their home to maximise the opportunities their kids have to spend time outside.

Covering topics that range from growing vegetation, how to look after indoor plants, making gardens kid-safe, cubby houses and even recycling, there is something for every family here about how to be more organised.

In this episode of The Organised Family we chat with Evie Farrell, blogger for Mumpack Travel. Evie tells us how she wanted to maximise the time with her daughter, Emmie, and so against all conventions, decided to pack their lives up and travel the world.

She'll explain how such a daring life choice required the ultimate in organisation, budgeting-and how life suddenly became about nothing but the essentials. Even more importantly, she discusses the effect of the experience on Emmie in particular-how it gave her confidence, curiosity, understanding, awareness and empathy for the world around her.

Heading into episode four of The Organised Family, we're turning up the dial in the glamour stakes. We chat with wife and husband duo Kirsten Clemens and Rhys Stanley. Kirsten tells us all about her life as a model and event ambassador, and Rhys talks about being a professional footballer.

But, more important than the exciting lives they lead, this episode is about family. They reveal the joy of welcoming their first child into the world, and the role their own parents play in helping them to fit everything into the limited number of hours in the day.

Season two of The Organised Family continues with George Georgievski, otherwise known as The Lunchbox Dad, and how he helps parents of kids who are fussy eaters. George discusses the influence parents have, the value of fresh produce, and allowing kids to own the selection of foods they eat.

Building upon this, George also goes into the value of making kids' meals appealing, and how the Bento Box is the perfect way to pack an enticing, colourful lunch that little ones will want to eat. He'll even share plenty of simple and easy tricks that anyone can use with their own families.

In this episode of The Organised Family we chat to Beth Borowsky, the founder of KarmaKidsYoga, which is dedicated to teaching yoga techniques specifically for children even as young as 18 months. Beth recounts how she discovered yoga in her teens and how it shaped her life ever since then.

She explains that yoga doesn't have to be a huge investment in time or effort to see results; that small steps can make a big difference. Yoga is about simple ideas of making shapes with the body and how to breathe correctly. It's not about competition or comparison, which makes it perfect for building confidence and self-esteem in children.

In the first episode of season two of The Organised Family we hear from the creator of Stuck On You, Carrie Felton. She'll describe how she had the simple desire to label her children's things with something a little more efficient than writing with a Texta on a Band-Aid-and how that serendipitous idea turned in a global business that helps anyone and everyone be more organised.

She'll convey the tenacity she needed to overcome a variety of obstacles such as pre-internet ordering and the consistent opinion that a woman couldn't run her own business. She'll also discuss the importance of brand, the balance between being a mum and a career-driven person, how much family means to her, and how she wasn't always so organised.

As busy parents, getting your children to eat nutritious and balanced meals can feel like yet another chore. In this podcast, we speak to renowned cookbook queen, Louise Keats, about how to deal with fussy little eaters, how to become more confident in the kitchen and creating meals that will please the whole family.

We discuss the many advantages of family meals on a child's physical, mental and social well-being, how to optimise the introduction of new foods, and the powers you possess to shape your child's lifetime food preferences.

Louise also provides some cunning tips that we wish we'd known earlier - using screen time for green time, getting reluctant parents more excited to spend time in their kitchens, and so much more.
