In this episode, Katie introduces the Gospel framework that she engages when facilitating the ODR Intensive. Over these next four episodes, Katie will be walking through a descriptive look at the Gospel arc from Creation to the Fall to Redemption to Restoration.
In the “Creation” episode, Katie will be reflecting on Genesis 1 and 2. Creation is the foundation of the Gospel. We cannot understand the Gospel fully until we know the story of creation.
Through the story of creation, we can see who God is. We see the world the way God made it.
We see creativity, peace, order, rest, and unity.
We end with a spoken poem by Artist M.D. To hear more of his work, go to www.artistmd.co
Val visits the ODR podcast today to talk about self-awareness. Val and Katie discuss emotions and why feeling emotion is not wrong or shameful. In this episode, you will learn the eight primary emotions:
Hurt Lonely Sad Anger Fear Shame Guilt Glad
You will also learn the three steps you can take to identify and steward your emotions well.
Katie and Val both give personal stories of emotions they have navigated in their relationships and how walking through the three steps have made their relationships stronger.
Katie also mentions, “The Journey Training,” a training that gave her tools to engage her emotions well. Learn more about that training here: https://thejourneytraining.com/

Welcome to our first episode of the Original Design Restored Podcast.
In this first episode our host and lead facilitator, Katie Tramonte shares her story of transformation. From childhood to young adult and into a new marriage Jesus showed Himself to Katie and taught her what His love and kindness truly meant. It was through failure and seeing God’s grace that Katie began her journey towards developing ODR.
Now Katie acts as the lead facilitator at the ODR Intensives. The experience is more like a boot camp than a retreat. The three days’ intensive has the potential to be significantly transformative. Through the Gospel, your own personal story, and experiential learning, you will be stretched in a new way.
In this new podcast, we are going to be sharing some of what you would gain at the ODR Intensive, only through a podcasting format.
You can learn more about ODR on our website: https://originaldesignrestored.org/
Original Design Restored aims to facilitate transformation through the intersection of the Gospel, personal narrative, and experiential learning.
In Season 1, lead facilitator Katie Tramonte will be walking through the core content of ODR with special guests joining her in the conversation to offer further perspective and real life stories of transformation.
Season 1 launches February 19th.
