On this review episode for The Outlaw Nation, John Rocha welcomes back his Geek Buddies cohost Shannon McClung to finish out the reviews of this first season of Ted Lasso on Apple TV+. The show from creator Bill Lawrence (Scrubs) stars JASON Sudeikis as Ted Lasso and wrapped up its final season this past week. The season took us on a rollercoaster of emotions and events as Ted Lasso went from the odd man out who was set up to fail at AFC Richmond to a man who became beloved by the team and its owner, but still had to do some work with the fans. We also got more with Roy, Keeley and Jamie Tartt, Nate became a more integral part of the coaching staff, Higgins and Rebecca's relationship changed, Rupert was a "real c***" and Coach Beard played all the right moves on the pitch, on the chess board and in life. Football really is life! The show also stars Brendan Hunt, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Juno Temple, Toheeb Jimoh, Nick Mohammed and Jeremy Swift.
John and Shannon start out by reviewing Eps 8-10. Then look back on the season as a whole to pinpoint what worked for them or didn't work for them when it came to the writing, directing, acting and storylines of the season. They also speculate what we might see in Season 2 and who might or might not be coming back to continue the story of Ted Lasso.
