Nothing breaks the ice better than the Spice Girls.
Carrie has been a freelance writer for the last twenty years, where her first byline was .net in 1998, and since its gone to magazines, sites, and has even written a book. She is also a regular host on a variety of shows on BBC Radio Scotland as the ‘tech guru’.
This was recorded at the end of August, and so we talk about my first steps into my now-current freelance career, where Carrie gives her stories about taking her steps into the field twenty years ago, with a lot of great advice given.
We also go into our thoughts about the Apple of 2018, alongside iOS 12 and much more.
But first of all, a quick update on things since this episode was recorded, and a thank you.

In November 2013 an interview with Nathan began something for me, which lead up to last week’s events.
With that, Nathan decided to come on and talk all about it, alongside a little-known game called Tomb Raider and his music for the first three games. We go in depth on how nostalgia can affect anyone at all ages, and influence some of the decisions we make.
Also, we discuss in detail the ‘passionate‘ concerns regarding the ‘Tomb Raider Suite‘ album release, alongside our enthusiasm for the recently-announced ‘Dark Angel‘ Symphony.

In all honesty, we talk about an iPad for 10 minutes during this hour!
We go from our history with Apple, to what we have in common with our shows, our wishes for a dedicated all in one podcast app, alongside our pie-in-the-sky plans for our shows.
I also ask Tim the most important question: Will Unco and Accessible be offering Stickers for listeners?

Natasha is the Editor of the Scottish Wedding Directory, a quarterly magazine that goes all into giving future brides and grooms ideas towards their own wedding around Scotland.
We talked about her history with Journalism, alongside lots of wedding talk and what iPad she owns.
We also had a chat about how she is getting on with using a Pixel 2 after a week of owning one, along with us talking all about one of our favourite games.

Jim Dalrymple has been a writer of Apple since 1994. He is the Editor-in-Chief of The Loop; a site of all things Apple, an insight into tech in general, and music.
We had a great chat that spanned from how his ‘Loop Bash‘ at WWDC week went this year, alongside our history with Apple, the Mac, and a pit stop to talk about The Loop Magazine.
We then went into Jim’s history with iPad and how he uses it, alongside how the Apple Watch has benefited him so much.

I first met Matt through him appearing on the ‘Bring Your Own Device‘ podcast last year, and since then we started talking about Apple Watch, and inevitably the iPad.
He’s been writing and podcasting for a few years now from his BirchTree site, but only in the last 18 months his great work is just starting to be recognised by others. His watchOS 5 mockups in January for example.
In this hour we talk about his workflow, why he decided to set up a Patreon, and what he wants to see on the iPad in the near future.
He also asks me the £364 million pound question towards the end: Will I be upgrading to a new iPad Pro if Apple announce one soon?

Chris is someone who I’ve been following towards the start of this year when I first listened to ‘Slab of Glass’, a podcast he co-hosts with previous guest Jeff Perry.
Chris is more of a video editor than a writer, and his passion shows with his YouTube channel, alongside his main site, ‘Untitled Site’, where he talks all about how he uses his iPad full time.
We talk all about this, alongside where we see Siri Shortcuts fitting on an AppleTV, games on an iPad, and which app he’d take with him on Outpost Island.

This week I’m joined by an Apple connoisseur, the editor of iMore, and alongside many others, the podcaster of Vector, a daily podcast which goes into everything Apple.
A fun time where we went through his history with Apple and writing, how he got to iMore, and of course, what iPad he uses.

A very fun episode, where we talked about having to use our MacBooks for tasks that’s unavailable for the iPad for now, alongside how Matt is creating his second book TOLL, entirely from his iPad Pro. We also talked about his dog Whisky, a Leonard Nimoy story, followed by all the Nintendo Switch talk.
Enjoy.
